How Long Is the Average Time for Sex and Premature Ejaculation in Humans?

If you've been in middle school or high school for at least a few days in your life and you have been in any of the boy groups for more than 10 minutes, you'll most likely find that it's about sexed. “Premature ejaculation” means ejaculation within 60 seconds of the first introduction of the penis into the vagina. This behavior of individuals where ejaculation is seen within 1-1.5 minutes is called “probably premature ejaculation”. Periods beyond this are normal for health.

Does It Make Sense for Sex to Be This Short?

That the ejaculation period should be this long is also very logical from an evolutionary point of view. Although sex is used for many different purposes today, its main purpose should not be forgotten: reproduction!

In order for man to reproduce, it is necessary to enjoy, enjoy, go through long foreplay, etc. not required. The goal is quite simple: to discharge the sperm into the vaginal canal! Similarly, a lioness in heat may mate with more than one male and may even have sex with up to 40 males in a day; however, they cannot be seen as a single and long-term sexual relationship. Each merge takes about 10 seconds. In short, many species in the animal kingdom, like humans, complete mating in very short periods of time — which is perfectly plausible from an evolutionary point of view^[3].

Some Extreme-Length Mating Animals

At the other end is the brown antechinus (Antechinus stuartii). After 10 months of childhood and adolescence, males enter a mating season that will last 2 weeks. During this 2-week period, they can mate with a female for up to 14 hours. These animals are so excited about mating that their defense systems weaken due to the stress hormones they secrete, leaving the animals open to infections. Sometimes unstoppable bleeding and even death occur during the mating process.

Another extreme example is pigs. Before mating, the pigs literally “sing” to each other by shouting and chasing each other. But when they reach the point of ejaculation (orgasm), they become almost “unstoppable”: Pigs can ejaculate for periods of up to 30 minutes — sometimes up to 90 minutes!

Rattlesnakes are also known for their long-term mating characteristics. Some couples can mate for up to 23 hours. However, each of these is an extreme example and does not reflect the animal kingdom as a whole^[4].
