Mahir Yusuf AÇAN

I define myself as an ambitious student invested in improving himself in a diverse range of fields. I am currently attending a well-ranked high school that prepares students for careers in science, technology, engineering and math. I've been educating myself in Swift and Processing for the past seven years. Furthermore, I’ve met with Arduino approximately four years ago and have developed various projects in this area. Attending elementary school abroad has helped me engage with English from an early age, and I was able to advance my language skills through programming and additional educational resources. Therefore, I currently have a C2 level (native) of English. In addition to this, I’m passionate about Physics, Mathematics, and Medicine, and I enjoy reading books , research papers, and articles in these fields. In the summer of 2019, I completed an internship to further dive into and combine my interest in the medical field with my desire to help others. I’ve had a professional swimming career for 10 years, and I aim to buy a sailboat to pursue my interest in navigation. Playing the guitar is another one of my hobbies as I believe that the intersection of art, sports, and STEM advances my personal growth. I dream of getting a Nobel prize in the medical field one day.
