The Vietnam Pavilion aims to showcase culture and tourism at the upcoming expo in Osaka, Japan.

On April 16, 2025, Vietnam officially launched its website and virtual pavilion for the upcoming EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan. This initiative marks a significant step in promoting Vietnamese culture and tourism on a global stage. The event was attended by key figures, including Pham Quang Hieu, Vietnam's ambassador to Japan, Ngo Trinh Ha, the Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, and Nguyen Phuong Hoa, the General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

The official website of the Vietnam Pavilion, accessible at vietnamexpo2025osaka.com, is available in both Vietnamese and English. Designed with a modern and minimalist aesthetic, the site aims to cater to the tastes of both Vietnamese and Japanese audiences, providing detailed information about the pavilion's highlights, exhibition content, event schedules, and the latest updates.

In addition to the website, the virtual Vietnam Pavilion is hosted on the "EXPO Virtual - Yumeshima in the Sky" application. This platform allows users to explore over 150 virtual exhibition halls created by national and international exhibitors participating in EXPO 2025. The Vietnam Pavilion is uniquely located on the Island of Light, featuring an eye-catching display of renowned artist Le Giang playing the zither at Van Long Lagoon in Ninh Binh.

Visitors to the virtual pavilion will have the opportunity to engage with various aspects of Vietnamese culture, including learning about the bronze drum, admiring the Phung Robe ao dai, and exploring the rich history of Vietnam through illustrations by artist Ta Huy Long. The experience also includes a showcase of the diverse cuisine from Vietnam’s three regions and the opportunity to enjoy traditional Vietnamese water puppetry.

Upon entering the virtual pavilion, visitors will receive an avatar dressed in an ao dai and conical hat, and they are invited to wave the Vietnamese flag, creating an immersive cultural experience. Nguyen Phuong Hoa expressed her enthusiasm about the virtual pavilion, stating, "The virtual Vietnam Pavilion is a great tool for audiences worldwide to access EXPO 2025 and the Vietnam Pavilion 24/7 to learn more about the culture, land, and people of Vietnam. The virtual pavilion also connects with the official website to provide additional information for viewers."

Hoa is confident that the activities launched today, including the unveiling of the official website and the virtual pavilion, will help position the Vietnam Pavilion as a remarkable highlight for international visitors. She believes it will serve as a bridge for collaboration between Vietnam and the global community, sharing new stories about a rapidly developing and promising Vietnam.

During the event, Phan Thanh Hai, the Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, also spoke about promoting Hue as a heritage city and a key destination for Vietnam in the National Tourism Year of 2025. He emphasized, "With its rich history and diverse culture, along with a commitment to sustainable development, Hue is poised to become a leading tourist center not only in Vietnam but also in Southeast Asia and Asia in the near future. We warmly invite international friends to come to Hue to explore, experience, and collaborate in developing tourism sustainably and creatively."

Looking ahead, the Vietnam Pavilion, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, will organize an event to announce the National Tourism Year of Hue 2025 and celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. This event represents a significant opportunity for Vietnam to showcase its heritage and potential to a global audience.

Prior to the launch, the General Representative of Vietnam at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, received the key to the Vietnam Pavilion from the Japanese contractor Pico, which is responsible for the pavilion's interior design and exhibition setup. This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in Vietnam's preparations for the expo, ensuring that the pavilion will be a vibrant representation of the nation's culture and achievements.

As the countdown to EXPO 2025 continues, the Vietnam Pavilion is set to become a focal point for visitors eager to learn about the country's rich heritage, innovative spirit, and diverse offerings. With both the official website and virtual pavilion now live, Vietnam is well on its way to making a lasting impression at one of the world's most anticipated global exhibitions.
