Utah Farms Empowered By Food Security Grants

Johnson Family Farms and Cache Valley Cheese receive funding to improve food processing and security

Two farms located within Cache Valley, Utah, have recently been awarded significant grants aimed at bolstering local food security and enhancing food processing capabilities. This initiative, which falls under the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food's (UDAF) Food Security Processing Grant program, marks a notable step forward for the agricultural community during challenging times.

The two beneficiary farms are Johnson Family Farms and Cache Valley Cheese. Johnson Family Farms was awarded $50,000, which will enable them to upgrade their vegetable processing equipment.
