Luis Hasa Set For Napoli Transfer

Lecce midfielder's move sees Juventus benefitting from sell-on clause and loan to Bari likely

Luis Hasa is set to make the move from Lecce to Napoli, marking one of the first significant transfers of the January market. The two clubs have reportedly reached agreement on the transfer for approximately 500,000 euros, with Napoli also set to send defender Rafa Marin to Lecce on loan as part of the deal. The negotiations appear to be nearly finalized, and Hasa will officially join the Partenopei once the transfer window opens.

Luigi Hasa, born to Albanian parents and hailing from Sora, began his footballing career at Juventus, where he rose through the ranks from the Under-17 level to the first team, making two appearances. Before his transfer to Lecce, which occurred last summer, he was part of Italy's Under-19 squad, winning the European Under-19 Championship. This transfer to Lecce was characterized as significant for his development but quickly turned sour, as Hasa found little playing time under both coaches, Gotti and Giampaolo. His only involvement this season came during one brief appearance in the Coppa Italia.

Reported by Football Italia, Napoli's Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, has been pivotal to Hasa's move. Manna, familiar with Hasa's capabilities from their shared history at Juventus, is optimistic about Hasa’s potential to contribute effectively to Napoli's squad. Manna's belief is evident, stating, "Giovanni Manna is hopeful Hasa's talent will shine at Napoli," which the Partenopei will need as they continue to compete at high levels both domestically and internationally.

The financial structure of the transaction also impacts Juventus, who stand to gain from Hasa's transfer. Juventus had previously negotiated a sell-on clause during Hasa's move to Lecce, allowing them to claim 30% of the fee from any future sale. Therefore, of the 500,000 euros Napoli is set to pay Lecce, around 150,000 euros will go directly to Juventus. This upfront cash injection reflects the financial foresight of the Juventus board when letting Hasa go on a free transfer to Lecce.

Despite the lack of minutes on the field, Hasa's talents have not gone unnoticed. His success with the Italy U19 team illustrated his potential, and transferring to Napoli presents him with another chance to prove himself. Following his agreement with Napoli, it’s anticipated Hasa will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Bari, allowing him to gain valuable playing experience. The loan aims to maximize Hasa's development, where he would likely become more integrated before returning to Napoli for the next season.

This transfer certainly indicates the growing connections and cooperative strategies between Serie A teams. Napoli appears eager to give Hasa the platform he needs to flourish, and Lecce is also positioning itself for potential future benefits. The prospect of Hasa excelling under Manna's mentorship could yield dividends for both Napoli and Hasa, who is well aware of the importance of seizing such opportunities.

Overall, the upcoming transfer sees Luis Hasa poised for new beginnings as he transitions from Lecce’s bench to what many hope will be the thriving environment of Napoli. His history, combined with newfound ambitions, makes him one to watch as the Serie A gears up for what promises to be another exciting season.
