Wisconsin Teen Charged With Parents' Murder In Trump Assassination Plot

Nikita Casap, 17, faces multiple felony charges linked to extremist ideologies and a disturbing manifesto.

A Wisconsin teenager has been charged with the murders of his parents as part of a disturbing plot to assassinate President Donald Trump, according to newly unsealed federal court documents. Nikita Casap, 17, faces serious charges, including two counts of first-degree murder, following the deaths of his mother, Tatiana Casap, 35, and stepfather, Donald Mayer, 51, whose bodies were discovered in their home on February 28, 2025, after a welfare check was requested by family members.

Authorities believe that both parents were killed weeks earlier, on February 11, 2025. The investigation revealed that the teenager allegedly shot his parents to obtain the financial means necessary to carry out his plan to assassinate the president and overthrow the government. In a chilling twist, investigators found evidence linking him to extremist ideologies, including a neo-Nazi group known as the Order of Nine Angles.

According to a federal affidavit, Casap had expressed white supremacist beliefs and called for Trump’s assassination as a means to spark a political revolution. The court documents detail that he was in contact with individuals overseas, including a Russian speaker, discussing plans to flee to Ukraine following the attacks.

When officers arrested Casap in Kansas on February 28, they found him driving a 2018 Volkswagen Atlas belonging to Mayer, which contained a Smith & Wesson .357 pistol, four credit cards belonging to the couple, multiple pieces of jewelry, a pried-open safe, and $14,000 in cash. The cash was reportedly hidden inside a Bible, according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators uncovered disturbing writings on Casap’s phone, including a three-page manifesto that outlined his intentions to assassinate Trump and included images of Adolf Hitler. One excerpt from the document stated, "As to why, specifically Trump, I think it's pretty obvious. By getting rid of the president and perhaps the vice president, that is guaranteed to bring in some chaos." The manifesto also included references to making bombs and carrying out terrorist attacks.

In the lead-up to the murders, Casap had reportedly told a classmate about his plans to kill his parents, claiming he did not have access to a gun at the time. He later indicated that he would befriend someone who had a firearm and steal it. The classmate also reported that Casap had expressed his desire to flee to Ukraine after the killings.

On April 9, 2025, Casap had a preliminary court hearing where he was formally charged with first-degree intentional homicide, hiding a corpse, identity theft, and theft of property over $10,000. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond and is scheduled to appear for an arraignment on May 7, 2025.

The FBI is pursuing additional federal charges against Casap, including presidential assassination, conspiracy, and use of weapons of mass destruction. These charges stem from the disturbing evidence found on his electronic devices, which included communications detailing his plans for the assassination and the means to carry it out.

As investigators continue to piece together the details of this shocking case, the implications of Casap's actions have raised alarms about the influence of extremist ideologies on young individuals. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to determine the full extent of the conspiracy and any potential accomplices.

In a statement to the media, Casap's public defender, Nicole Ostrowski, argued for the dismissal of some charges against her client, emphasizing his youth and the lack of concrete evidence provided by the prosecution. "He is still in high school," she noted during court proceedings.

This tragic case not only highlights the extreme actions of a young individual but also raises questions about the societal factors that may contribute to such violent ideologies. As the legal process unfolds, many are left wondering how a teenager could become so deeply entrenched in extremist beliefs and what can be done to prevent future tragedies.
