Boston Calling 2025 Set To Delight With Food Lineup

Festival-goers will enjoy diverse culinary options from new vendors and local favorites over Memorial Day weekend.

The Boston Calling 2025 Food and Drink Lineup Is Set to Dazzle Festival-Goers

As Memorial Day weekend approaches, Boston Calling promises a feast for the senses with an exciting food and drink lineup.

The Boston Calling Music Festival, New England's largest annual music event, is gearing up for an unforgettable experience this year. Scheduled for May 23-25, 2025, at the Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, the festival will not only showcase over 50 musical acts but also feature an impressive array of culinary delights from more than 25 local eateries.

This year's food offerings include both new vendors and returning favorites, ensuring that no one at the festival goes hungry. Among the most notable newcomers is Sally’s Apizza, which has quickly become a local sensation since opening its first location in Woburn in 2023. The beloved New Haven pizzeria plans to expand with three additional Boston-area locations this year, including spots in the Seaport, Dorchester, and Concord.

Joining Sally’s Apizza in the lineup are several other exciting new additions. Festival-goers can look forward to indulging in Southern fried chicken sandwiches from Flip The Bird, fresh lobster rolls and oysters from New England Provisions, seafood delights from Jasper White’s Summer Shack, hearty sandwiches from Pennypacker’s, and healthy bowls from Amelia’s Acai. These new options promise to elevate the festival's culinary scene.

Returning to the menu are crowd-pleasers like dumplings from Dumpling Daughter, Neapolitan-style slices from PieSons Pizza, heaping plates of barbecue from The Smoke Shop BBQ, and gyros from Greco. For those seeking vegetarian and vegan options, restaurants such as Love Art Sushi, Moyzilla, and The Flatbread Company will be on hand to cater to diverse dietary preferences.

No festival experience would be complete without dessert, and Boston Calling has that covered too. Attendees can satisfy their sweet tooth with treats from Zinneken’s Waffles, FoMu Ice Cream, Blackbird Doughnuts, and Flour Bakery + Cafe.

For those who opt for Platinum tickets, a unique culinary experience awaits. These ticket holders will have access to specialty menus crafted by award-winning local chefs throughout the festival. On Friday, May 23, the COJE Restaurants group will curate a menu featuring offerings from Mariel's executive chef Miguel Deras, Lolita's corporate chef Cory Seeker, and COJE's chief culinary officer Thomas Berry. Saturday's culinary highlights will include an afternoon spread (2-5 p.m.) from James Beard Award-winning chef Ken Oringer, followed by an evening menu (5-8 p.m.) from Will Gilson, known for his work at Puritan & Co. and The Lexington. The premium food experience concludes on Sunday with Joanne Chang, the celebrated chef behind Flour Bakery + Cafe, handling the afternoon menu, while Brendan Pelley from Bar Vlaha takes over for the evening rush.

In addition to the culinary excitement, festival organizers have taken significant steps to improve the overall experience following feedback from last year's event. After facing backlash for unsafe conditions, crowd control, and capacity issues, the festival has introduced a new site map, increased the number of water stations, and reorganized the stages to enhance safety and accessibility.

As fans gear up for this year's festival, the anticipation for both the music and food is palpable. With big-name acts like Luke Combs, Fall Out Boy, and the Dave Matthews Band set to perform, attendees can expect a weekend filled with unforgettable performances and mouthwatering food options.

For those interested in attending, more information about tickets can be found on the Boston Calling website. With a lineup that promises to satisfy both music lovers and food enthusiasts, Boston Calling 2025 is shaping up to be a highlight of the summer.
