West Bengal HS Results Set For May 7 Release

Students eagerly await their scores as WBCHSE announces 2025 Class 12 results date and distribution details.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced that the results for the Higher Secondary (HS) Examination 2025 will be released on May 7, 2025, at 12:30 PM. This eagerly awaited announcement comes as around 5.09 lakh students who participated in the exams prepare to check their scores.

The results will be unveiled during a press conference at Vidaysagar Bhavan, Saltlake, Kolkata, marking a significant moment for students across the state. Following the press conference, students will be able to access their results online from 2:00 PM on the same day through the WBCHSE official website at wbchse.wb.gov.in, as well as other third-party sites.

In a notable change from previous years, this year saw a significant drop in the number of candidates appearing for the exams. Last year, approximately 7.9 lakh students sat for the Class 12 examinations, whereas this year, only about 5 lakh students participated, reflecting a 35.56% decrease. The exams were conducted from March 3 to March 18 at 2,089 centers across West Bengal.

Students will be able to view and download their mark sheets using their roll numbers and date of birth. The official results will also be available on the DigiLocker mobile application, providing an additional avenue for students to access their scores conveniently.

Hard copies of the mark sheets and pass certificates will be distributed through 55 designated distribution centers across the state, starting at 10 AM on May 8, 2025. Heads of institutions and Teacher-in-Charges have been instructed to ensure that these documents are promptly distributed to students on the same day.

Last year, the WBCHSE results were announced on May 8, and the overall pass percentage was a commendable 90%. The top performer, Abhik Das from Hooghly, achieved an impressive score of 99.2%. In comparison, the pass percentage in 2023 was slightly lower at 89.25%, with results declared on May 24.

As students await their results, it’s important to note that the scorecards provided online will be provisional. Students are required to collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools to ensure the accuracy of their academic records.

In addition to checking results online, students who may wish to challenge their scores can apply for re-evaluation after the results are announced. The dates and procedures for re-evaluation will be communicated following the release of the results.

For those who may not pass in certain subjects, supplementary examinations will be available, with dates to be announced later. This option provides students with a second chance to improve their scores and successfully complete their higher secondary education.

As the countdown to the results begins, students and parents alike are filled with anticipation. The WBCHSE has reiterated its commitment to ensuring a smooth and efficient process for result dissemination, emphasizing the importance of timely access to academic results for students’ future educational endeavors.

In summary, the WBCHSE Class 12 results will be available on May 7, 2025, at 12:30 PM, with online access starting at 2:00 PM. Students are encouraged to check their results on the official website and other authorized platforms. The distribution of hard copies will follow on May 8, ensuring that students receive their official documents promptly.

As the education landscape continues to evolve, the WBCHSE remains a pivotal institution in shaping the futures of countless students in West Bengal. The upcoming results will not only reflect the hard work of students but also set the stage for their academic journeys ahead.
