Students can access their scores online starting at 2 PM after the press conference.

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has officially announced the date for the release of the WBCHSE HS results for 2025. Scheduled for May 7, 2025, the results will be made public during a press conference at 12:30 PM. Students eagerly awaiting their scores can access their results online from 2 PM on the same day through the official websites, wbresults.nic.in and wbchse.wb.gov.in.

In a recent notification, the WBCHSE confirmed that the results will be available for all streams, including Commerce, Arts, and Science. This announcement comes after a rigorous examination period that began on March 3, 2025, and concluded on March 18, 2025. During this time, over five lakh candidates participated in the examinations, with a significant number of them being girls. Specifically, 5.09 lakh candidates took the exams, of which 2.77 lakh were female.

The examinations were conducted in a single shift from 10 AM to 1 PM across 2,089 centers, all equipped with CCTV cameras to ensure fairness and prevent malpractice. This year, the curriculum included new subjects such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Science among the 62 subjects offered to students.

Last year, the WBCHSE results were released on May 8, with a total of 7,90,000 candidates taking the exams. The overall pass percentage was an impressive 90%, with Avik Das from McWilliam Higher Secondary School achieving the highest score of 496 out of 500, translating to 99.2%. Other top scorers included Soumyadip Saha of Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya and Abhishek Gupta of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Vidyamandir, who scored 495 and 494 marks, respectively.

Students and parents are encouraged to stay updated through official channels for any further announcements regarding the results. With anticipation building, the WBCHSE aims to provide a smooth and efficient process for students to access their scores.

This year's examination cycle has seen a notable decrease in the number of candidates compared to previous years. While last year's figures indicated 7,90,000 students, this year's total stands at 5.09 lakh. This decline raises questions about various factors influencing student participation, including the ongoing impacts of the pandemic and changing educational trends.

As the results day approaches, students are reminded of the importance of mental health and well-being. Educational institutions and counselors are available to provide support to those who may feel anxious about the outcome of their examinations.

In summary, the WBCHSE HS results for 2025 will be unveiled on May 7, 2025, at 12:30 PM, with online access available from 2 PM. Students should be prepared to check their scores on the official websites and follow the prescribed steps for downloading their mark sheets. With a focus on transparency and fairness, the WBCHSE continues to uphold its commitment to quality education and assessment.
