Ukrainian Army+ App Introduces New Reports For Soldiers

The Ministry of Defense enhances the Army+ app with five new reports for military personnel to streamline document requests.

In a significant update to the "Army+" application, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has introduced five new reports designed to streamline the process of obtaining essential documents for military personnel. This update, which is now available for download on both the App Store and Play Market, aims to enhance the efficiency of service members by consolidating various requests into a single, user-friendly section.

The new reports include options for obtaining information about participation in hostilities, extracts from official orders, personnel lists, parental leave for children up to three years, and procedures for returning from leave, secondment, or medical treatment. Each report can be submitted in just a few minutes, making it easier for military personnel to manage their administrative needs.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the reports are equipped with comprehensive information guides that provide clear and concise instructions on what documents may be required during the submission process. The reports are designed with a straightforward submission algorithm, and each step includes prompts to assist users in sending their requests to their commanders without errors.

Kateryna Chernohorenko, the Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization, emphasized the ministry's commitment to addressing the needs of military personnel. "The military has requested the ability to submit reports quickly, and we are responding to this request," she stated. This update is part of a broader initiative to modernize administrative processes within the Ukrainian military.

The "Army+" application was officially launched in August 2024, with the aim of reducing the bureaucratic burden on soldiers and commanders alike. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy hailed the app as a step towards modernity, stating that it should liberate the armed forces from cumbersome paperwork and allow them to focus on their primary duties.

Since its launch, the application has seen the introduction of a total of 31 report types. To date, around 430,000 reports have been fully processed, highlighting its popularity and effectiveness among service members. The most frequently used reports include health-related requests (31%), annual leave (22%), and changes of service location (21.5%).

The introduction of these new reports reflects the Ministry of Defense's ongoing efforts to adapt to the needs of modern military operations and to provide a more efficient administrative framework. By continuing to innovate and enhance the "Army+" application, the ministry aims to ensure that Ukrainian soldiers have the tools they need to serve effectively while minimizing unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles.

As the conflict in Ukraine continues, the ability for military personnel to quickly access and manage their documentation becomes increasingly crucial. The "Army+" application not only provides a practical solution for these needs but also symbolizes a shift towards a more digital and responsive military infrastructure.

In summary, the latest updates to the "Army+" application represent a significant advancement in how the Ukrainian military manages its administrative processes. With a focus on user-friendliness and efficiency, these new reports are set to make a meaningful impact on the lives of service members, allowing them to dedicate more time to their core responsibilities.
