At least 51 people have died and many more are injured following a tragic coal mine explosion attributed to a methane gas leak at the Madanjoo mine located in Tabas, South Khorasan province, Iran. The incident occurred on Saturday night around 21:00 local time, approximately 540 km (335 miles) southeast of Tehran, when methane gas accumulated and ignited within two separate blocks of the mine.
According to reports, around 69 workers were present at the time of the explosion, with 22 located in Block C and 47 workers in Block B.
