Tensions Rise Among Panelists On Only Fama

Internal conflicts threaten the stability of Mega's popular entertainment show as audience ratings decline.

In a dramatic turn of events, the popular Mega program Only Fama finds itself embroiled in controversy as tensions rise among its panelists. Recent reports indicate that the show, which has struggled with low audience ratings, is facing internal conflicts that could threaten its stability. The latest episode of Zona de Estrellas revealed that a heated argument occurred between panelists Daniela Aránguiz and Fran García-Huidobro, just minutes before the broadcast on March 28, 2025.

The friction reportedly stemmed from the program's coverage of Jorge Valdivia’s alleged reconciliation with Maite Orsini. According to journalist Daniella Campos, Aránguiz was unhappy with how the topic was presented, leading to a clash with García-Huidobro. "She got upset about the segment that the Only Fama team prepared to address Jorge Valdivia and the supposed return with Maite Orsini," Campos explained. "Daniela is said to have engaged in a discussion with the team and with Francisca because she disagreed with the terms in which the issue was being framed. She refused to have it presented as an interview, as the idea was to place her in the interview chair."

García-Huidobro, who had been pushing for a more in-depth discussion, pointed out that Aránguiz had already given an interview on the TV+ program Sígueme. This remark did not sit well with Aránguiz, who expressed that she felt "protected" and "comfortable" on the competing show. Tensions escalated further when García-Huidobro insisted that Only Fama is also her program and that Aránguiz needed to provide more information.

In a tense exchange, Aránguiz reportedly shot back, "Why are you going to tell me where I have to speak?! Why don't we talk about your problems?!" This confrontation took place during a planning meeting just 30 minutes before the show went live, according to Campos, who noted that the argument was intense enough to draw attention from other panelists.

While some panelists downplayed the incident, describing it as merely a discussion of pauta, the dynamics between the two women appear strained. Hugo Valencia, another panelist, stated that while the group denied any serious conflict, José Antonio Neme, who took on a more prominent role in the episode, did not refute the existence of a dispute. Neme ultimately interviewed Aránguiz, a shift that some insiders suggest was a result of the earlier tensions.

As the drama unfolded, the Only Fama team reportedly felt frustrated that a story involving Aránguiz, who lives with Valdivia, had been broken by Cecilia Gutiérrez on the rival program Primer Plano. This revelation added to the already simmering discontent within the panel, as they grappled with the implications of being outpaced by their competitors.

Despite the chaos surrounding the show, the audience's response remains uncertain. Viewers have been tuning in less frequently, and the internal strife might only exacerbate the situation. The ongoing saga raises questions about loyalty and professionalism within the entertainment industry, especially when panelists work across competing platforms.

In the wake of these events, it remains to be seen how Only Fama will navigate this rocky terrain. With audience engagement dwindling and internal conflicts making headlines, the future of the show hangs in the balance. Will the panelists find a way to resolve their differences, or will the tension lead to further disarray? Only time will tell as the entertainment landscape continues to evolve.
