TCL made waves at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 held this past weekend in Barcelona, showcasing six new smartphone models alongside the innovative NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet, signaling the company's deep commitment to advancing technology and enhancing user experience.
During the event, TCL revealed its strategy to revolutionize mobile device use with cutting-edge features. General Manager of TCL Mobile Phone BU, Jefferson Li stated, "We recognize technology should adapt to the user, not the other way around," underscoring their focus on user-centric designs. The NXTPAPER 11 Plus Tablet, touted as TCL's first AI-powered tablet, showcases the latest NXTPAPER 4.0 display technology which offers outstanding visual clarity and comfort for extended usage.
The tablet features Smart Eye Comfort Mode, which intelligently adjusts display settings to minimize strain, ensuring clarity and reduced fatigue. Its display spans 11.5 inches with 2.2K resolution and supports fast 120Hz refresh rates, aiming to deliver smooth interactions whether for reading, writing, or gaming sessions. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 processor and offers storage options of 8GB RAM or 12GB RAM, coupled with up to 256GB storage capacity.
AI capabilities also set the NXTPAPER 11 Plus apart, featuring functions like Text Assist for smart suggestions and Writing Assist for drafting emails or planning events. The Circle to Search with Google allows users to explore content easily. Plus, the Smart Voice Memo feature records and transcribes conversations, making it useful for meetings. It offers seamless real-time translation options for voice, text, or images, enhancing cross-language communication.
With eye comfort at its core, the Tablet employs the new Write in Text Fields feature which uses AI to transform handwriting to text with less than 5 milliseconds latency, making it fluid and responsive for users.
Alongside the groundbreaking tablet, TCL introduced six new smartphones within its TCL 60 series—each built to meet diverse consumer needs. The TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G stands out with its 6.8-inch display and dual 50MP camera system, along with impressive battery life provided by its 5200mAh power pack. This model features splash resistance and runs Android OS 15 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage options.
The TCL 60 NXTPAPER also incorporates NXTPAPER technology for eye comfort, again with dual cameras but enhancing audio with dual speakers for immersive sound experiences. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G92 chipset, ensuring high performance complemented by up to 512GB of storage.
Other models such as the TCL 60R 5G and TCL 60 5G maintained high-quality specs with 6.7-inch displays and power optimized for everyday use through 5G capabilities.
The TCL 605 variant offers options for those on tighter budgets but maintains admirable features including customizable RAM configurations, highlighting TCL's commitment to providing options throughout its lineup.
Not solely focused on smartphones and tablets, TCL also unveiled three new RayNeo AR glasses models aimed at integrating augmented reality seamlessly within daily activities. The RayNeo Air 3S is set to retail at approximately US$259, featuring cutting-edge display quality through its HueView screen with impressive specifications allowing an immersive visual experience.
The X3 Pro glasses, powered by Qualcomm’s AR1 Gen 1 chip, extend functionality for real-time applications including translation and object recognition.
Lastly, the innovative PlayCube projector was also presented, bringing real-time calibration features for focus adjustments and versatile use for both indoor and outdoor activities, adorned with influences of TCL's sustainable technology ethos. With its built-in battery lasting 2.5 hours, it's engineered for modern-day entertainment.
Collectively, TCL's offerings at MWC 2025 strongly indicate its intention to remain at the forefront of mobile technology, enhancing user experiences through dedicated innovation aimed at comfort and productivity.
