Star-Studded Lineup For Music Station's January 24 Broadcast

Snow Man, Wada Akiko, and more set to perform as the show celebrates its milestones.

On January 24, 2025, at 21:00 JST, TV-Asahi will air the popular music program "Music Station," featuring a star-studded lineup of artists, celebrating not only their talent but significant milestones.

Leading the charge is the acclaimed boy band Snow Man, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. Viewers can expect the group to perform three standout tracks: their debut song "D.D.," the theme song for the drama starring Ren Meguro titled "Dangerholic," and the theatrical release theme song "SBY." The band’s members have openly expressed their gratitude to fans for their unwavering support over the years. "I am really grateful to have been able to celebrate our 5th anniversary thanks to our fans' support. I appreciate the days where what was common is no longer so," said Hikaru Iwamoto, reflecting on their remarkable five-year career. Fellow member Shota Watanabe added, "I want to meet more people than this year. Thank you to everyone who has supported us."

Among the roster of talent, Mrs. GREEN APPLE is set to debut their latest single "Darling," marking their first release of 2025. Vocalist Motoki Omori shared his thoughts, stating, "This song is delicate and powerful. I want to deliver the message of not being alone, as all feelings stem from someone being there." This reflects the emotional depth they strive for throughout their performances.

Returning to "Music Station" after 20 long years is the legendary Wada Akiko. Her reappearance promises to be memorable as she collaborates with Da-iCE for the premiere television performance of their new song "FUNKEYS." Da-iCE, known as the Queen of Japanese R&B, has garnered significant acclaim recently, especially after their streaming hit broke two billion views. The anticipation surrounding this collaboration adds to the excitement of the evening.

Also performing is TOMOO, who is making his second appearance on the show. He will sing "Contrast," the ending theme for the TV anime "Aoi no Hako." Yuuri will also showcase his romantic hit "DiNA," contributing to the rich variety of performances.

The evening will not only be about the live acts. Fans can look forward to VTR segments where the show will reveal the latest music rankings based on various metrics such as CD sales, streaming, karaoke, and YouTube views. This segment aims to highlight the most listened-to songs this week alongside new music trends and introduce noteworthy newcomers to the audience.

Whether it’s celebrating Snow Man’s five years or Wada Akiko’s long-awaited return, the January 24 broadcast of "Music Station" promises to deliver thrilling performances and emotional moments, making it a must-watch event for music fans across Japan.
