Spring Blossoms And Community Spirit Thrive In Vietnam

Visitors experience Nà Ka's plum blossoms and Quảng Công's charity jog, embracing culture and nature.

Every spring, as plum blossoms burst forth, the Nà Ka valley of Mộc Châu wears its pristine white coat, captivating locals and tourists alike. This picturesque valley, located just 16 kilometers from the heart of Mộc Châu, is renowned for its vast plum orchards, stretching over 100 hectares, making it the largest "plum stock" area in Mộc Châu.

With the beginning of March, the valley transforms. The local residents, eager to welcome visitors, guide them to the orchards where the branches, once bare, now cradle delicate white flowers against the backdrop of majestic mountains. Together with the warm sun, the blooms create an enchanting scene. This period marks the best time for tourists to immerse themselves in the breathtaking beauty of Nà Ka's plum blossoms.

“This is the second time I visit Nà Ka. The scenery is breathtaking and the atmosphere very peaceful,” shared Nguyễn Phương Thảo, a visitor from Hà Nội, who returned to witness the flowers after initially visiting during the fruit-picking festival last year. She expressed her awe at the white-covered valley, highlighting the refreshing atmosphere, perfect for relaxation. The 40,000 VND entry fee allows tourists to freely snap photos and taste fresh plums right from the trees, enjoyably enhanced by salt dip provided by welcoming homeowners.

Photographers and nature lovers flock to Nà Ka each year, eager to capture the stunning views. Local photographer Đức Hưng has been busy taking bookings for shoots, reflecting on how unique the area is. “I have many clients scheduling shoots here throughout the year. This time of the year, the plum flowers bloom beautifully. I've been staying over to catch the early morning light,” he said. For many artists and enthusiasts, the sought-after images of spring blossoms make their way to galleries and social media, showcasing the natural charm of this hidden gem.

Nà Ka valley isn't just about stunning views; it offers serenity away from the clamor of city life. The presence of traditional Mông houses adds to the cultural richness of the area. Those visiting can take advantage of the peaceful environment to enjoy local culture, food, and hospitality, all ensuring memorable experiences.

Located nearby, notable attractions like the Heart-Shaped Tea Hill and Dải Yếm Waterfall provide additional reasons for tourists to explore the Mộc Châu plateau – perfect for weekend getaways or photography excursions. Once visitors leave Nà Ka, they often carry home fond memories and deep longing for the next blooming season.

Simultaneously, the community of Quảng Công is gearing up for its first 'Jogging Quảng Công Biển Gọi' event on March 30, 2025. This initiative, held alongside the breathtaking backdrop of the Tam Giang lagoon, promises runners not just exercise but also the chance to give back. “The event provides runners with new experiences, exploring the beautiful landscapes of Tam Giang lagoon,” noted Võ Đức Khiêm, Deputy Chairman of Quảng Công Commune.

Runners will compete on 5km and 10km courses, enjoying the shoreline's scenic beauty—running along pristine beaches surrounded by homestays and resorts in Quảng Công. Notably, 50% of each runner's registration fee will be donated to support underprivileged families and those living near poverty.

This event aligns with the celebrations marking the 50th anniversary of Quảng Điền's liberation and aims to raise awareness of the area's potential for tourism and community spirit. Participants are encouraged not only to improve their physical health but also to cultivate environmental awareness through this unique and meaningful event.

Such endeavors showcase the rich cultural and natural landscapes of Vietnam, illustrating how these experiences interconnect both nature and community service. Whether one is harvesting local fruit or participating in community events, the interactions with the land and its people offer invaluable lessons and bonds.

Exploring Nà Ka and participating in local events like the Jogging Quảng Công Biển Gọi reveal the beauty of Vietnam's diverse landscapes and vibrant cultures. Visitors will delight not only their eyes but also their hearts, forging lasting memories and connections with this enchanting land.
