Spectacular Performers Set For 2025 London New Year's Parade

Peter Andre leads more than 10,000 performers through the capital's streets with music, dance, and charity fundraising boosts.

The 2025 London New Year's Day Parade is set to dazzle spectators with an extravagant display of entertainment. More than 10,000 performers are expected to participate, bringing together marching bands, acrobats, dancers, giant floats, and star-studded performances along the iconic streets of London.

Beginning at Piccadilly, the parade will wind its way through some of the city’s most famous landmarks, such as Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, and concluding at Westminster. The action kicks off around 12:30 PM, which is a delay of 30 minutes due to high winds forecasted earlier. While inflatable characters won’t be featured after advice from the Met Office, organizers have ensured plenty of family-friendly enjoyment throughout the parade.

Headlining this year's event is none other than Peter Andre, who will return from Dubai just for the occasion. Andre, known for his hit songs like "Mysterious Girl" and "All About Us," expressed his excitement: "It will be a New Year’s honour to headline such an incredible event for an enormous global audience on January 1st, and it’s free for Londoners to watch!"

The route of the parade extends for two miles, with the procession commencing near the Ritz Hotel and Green Park Station. Participants and onlookers can enjoy the performance from pre-arranged grandstands set up along Piccadilly, as well as two large screens, including one at the always-crowded Piccadilly Circus. This allows thousands of expected visitors to witness the spectacle up close or from afar.

More than 19 magnificent marching bands from across the globe, including participants from the USA, along with spirited dance groups and cheerleaders, will add to the visual delight. Among the supporting acts are singer Rika and Britain's Got Talent finalist Connie Talbot, ensuring the lineup is packed with talent and fanfare.

The parade not only promises entertainment but also serves as a charity fundraiser. More than £2.5 million has been raised over the years for the Mayor’s chosen charities, with £15,000 awarded for the winning borough entries. This year, entries from over a dozen boroughs will showcase the “verve, creativity, and spirit” characteristic of London.

The event’s organizers have taken care to prepare for the expected crowd, providing toilets and first aid facilities at key locations along the parade route. Pedestrian crossings are also set up to maintain the public’s right of way, ensuring safety during one of London's biggest celebrations.

So, are you ready to join the festivities? Residents and visitors alike are invited to gather and revel as the city celebrates the arrival of 2025. Enjoy the huge celebration and take part virtually through live broadcasts for those who cannot make it out to the streets.

With excitement building around the parade and the promise of entertainment filling London's West End, the New Year's Day Parade remains one of the most anticipated events of the year. It offers both locals and tourists the chance to kick off the new year with joy, color, and community spirit, and it’s clear: 2025 is shaping up to be spectacular!
