Snow Man's Sazuma To Host Anime Night Featuring Jujutsu Kaisen 0

On March 19, TBS will celebrate anime culture with live programs and the hit film, showcasing popular theme songs and more.

TBS will present "Anime Night" on March 19, 2025, featuring the broadcast of the hit anime film, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0," as well as the variety show "Anison Daizenshu," hosted for the first time by Dai Kaito Sazuma of the popular group Snow Man. Starting at 7 PM, viewers can enjoy both programs as part of this special anime-themed event.

"Anime Night" promises to be exciting for fans, with Snow Man's Sazuma taking on the role of solo MC during prime time. This is significant as it marks his first time being the sole host on the Golden time slot for TBS. "Anison Daizenshu" will look back at captivating anime theme songs from Japan, showcasing popular anime hits and beloved classics, enhancing the viewing experience with stunning animation clips as accompaniment.

Following the variety show, "Jujutsu Kaisen 0"—a film based on the popular manga by Gege Akutami—will air at 7:50 PM. This movie has achieved remarkable success since its release on December 24, 2021, grossing approximately 26.5 billion yen worldwide and attracting over 20.51 million spectators, making it one of the highest-grossing anime films globally. The film narrates the love story intertwined with curses, detailing the life of Yuta Okkotsu and his childhood friend Rika, who becomes cursed after her tragic death.

"Jujutsu Kaisen 0" serves as a prequel to the widely acclaimed "Jujutsu Kaisen" anime series, which aired its first season from October 2020 to March 2021 and has garnered widespread popularity. The film's gripping narrative and engaging visuals contributed to it winning the "Best Animation" award at the 45th Japan Academy Awards.

Sazuma's hosting job is significant not just for him but for the Snow Man group, as it highlights their growing influence and presence within the entertainment industry. The singer and actor expressed his excitement about this new opportunity, noting its importance to him and the group.

Along with the anime feature film, viewers will also have the chance to hear from Kendo Kobayashi and others during the movie's audio commentary, exploring various aspects of the "Jujutsu Kaisen" universe.

TBS has been instrumental in promoting anime culture through events such as "Anime Night," allowing long-time fans and new viewers to celebrate Japanese animation's rich legacy.

Audience members can anticipate a mix of nostalgia and new experiences as "Anime Night" promises to deliver heartfelt anime moments along with the excitement of live expressions from hosts and animated narrative storytelling.

Further showcasing the anime culture, TBS is also routing other projects such as 'Boku no Hero Academia' art exhibitions and upcoming anime content. This initiative aligns with the industry's direction of focusing on high-quality anime and promoting their musical counterparts through thoughtful programming, keeping audiences entertained.

With the impact of anime stretching far beyond its origins, significant projects, and events such as these signify the cultural shift and the importance of anime and music within modern Japanese society.
