The two stars will guide contestants through the playoff round starting April 28.

Musical superstars Sheryl Crow and LeAnn Rimes are set to make a splash as the mega mentors on the popular singing competition "The Voice" during its highly anticipated playoff round beginning April 28, 2025, at 8 p.m. on NBC. This exciting phase of the competition will also be available for streaming the following day on Peacock.

In this role, Crow, a nine-time Grammy Award winner, will team up with coaches Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé, while Rimes, a two-time Grammy Award winner with international coaching experience on the British and Australian versions of "The Voice," will mentor the teams of John Legend and Adam Levine.

During the playoffs, each coach will work closely with five talented artists on their teams, providing guidance and fine-tuning performances as the contestants vie for a coveted spot in the live shows. As the competition progresses, each coach will ultimately select two contestants to advance to the next stage.

Fans can expect to see a diverse lineup of artists competing in the playoffs. Team Ballerini features Iris Herrera, Tinika Wyatt, Jaelen Johnston, Darius J, and Alanna Lynise, while Team Levine includes Kolby Cordell, Lucia Flores-Wiseman, Ethan Eckenroad, Britton Moore, and Conor James. Team Legend is represented by BD.ii, Bryson Battle, Ari Camille, Renzo, and Olivia Kuper-Harris, and Team Bublé comprises Barry Jean Fontenot, Angie Rey, Kaiya Hamilton, Adam David, and Jadyn Cree.

The playoffs promise to be an electrifying showcase of talent, with Crow and Rimes bringing their wealth of experience to help the contestants shine. Rimes, who has a rich history in the music industry, expressed her excitement about mentoring on the show. "I’m thrilled to be part of this incredible journey, helping these artists find their voices and connect with the audience," she said.

In addition to her role on "The Voice," LeAnn Rimes has been busy balancing her professional life with her family life. Rimes is married to actor Eddie Cibrian, and the couple has two stepsons, Jake and Mason. Their love story began on the set of the TV movie "Northern Lights" in 2008, where they first reconnected after meeting briefly in the 1990s. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on April 22, 2011, at a home in California, surprising their guests who thought they were attending an engagement party.

Rimes shared her feelings about her marriage to Cibrian, stating, "You grow as a couple. Every day you find something else that you love about each other. It’s wonderful. You have a real companion and somebody who’s just there and that you trust with everything." Their relationship has flourished over the years, with Rimes often expressing her gratitude for her blended family.

As a stepmother, Rimes has embraced her role wholeheartedly. She has shared heartfelt messages on social media celebrating her stepsons’ milestones. For instance, when Cibrian’s younger son Jake turned 11 in 2018, Rimes posted, "I am so blessed to be his stepmom. What joy he brings to the lives of everyone he encounters." Similarly, she expressed pride in her older stepson Mason when he turned 20 in 2023, stating, "What a joy it has been to watch you grow and thrive. I’m so proud of you, we all are! Being your stepmom is a gift I forever cherish."

In addition to her family life, Rimes has continued to create music that reflects her experiences and emotions. To celebrate her 11th wedding anniversary with Cibrian in April 2022, she released the video for her song "How Much a Heart Can Hold," which features clips from their wedding and cherished moments together. Rimes revealed that she had written the song for their wedding years ago, making it a sentimental piece for the couple.

Moreover, Rimes showcased her vulnerability and creativity in the video for her song "Spaceship," which Cibrian filmed on an iPhone during a walk in the Alabama Hills of California. In this intimate setting, Rimes felt free to express herself without any makeup or pretense. She explained, "Emotionally, I was able to go to the place that you see in the video because it was him... He knows me so well that he kind of can follow what’s happening on my inner world to be able to capture it."

As the playoffs of "The Voice" approach, viewers can look forward to not only the incredible talent on display but also the invaluable mentorship that Crow and Rimes will provide. With their combined experience and passion for music, they are sure to inspire the contestants and viewers alike.

For fans eager to watch the playoffs unfold, there are multiple streaming options available. NBC will air the playoffs live, and for those without cable, services like fuboTV and DirecTV Stream offer free trials for viewers to catch all the action. Additionally, Peacock will provide on-demand access the day after the live broadcast.

As the competition heats up, the stakes are higher than ever. The journey to the grand prize of a recording contract is not just about singing; it’s about growth, mentorship, and the passion for music that drives these artists. With Crow and Rimes at the helm as mega mentors, contestants are poised to reach new heights in their musical careers.
