Commuters at major junctions like Yeouido Station expressed frustration over the delays. Footage from the station showed long queues forming as frustrated passengers awaited their delayed trains. The rush hour typically occurs between 7 AM and 9 AM, and with the delays, officials noted, “Due to the track issue, trains are running slowly, especially during rush hour.”
After the rush hour, Seoul Metro reported they would assess the situation and resume regular services as soon as possible. “Once the peak hour traffic subsides, we will return to normal operations and manage the delays,” additional statements indicated, providing some reassurance to commuters burdened by the unexpected disruption.
