Sanremo 2025 Festival Shines With Star-Studded Lineup

Bianca Balti returns triumphantly as the festival co-host, showcasing elegance and strength amid personal challenges.

Sanremo, February 12, 2025 – Following the success of the first evening of Sanremo 2025, which garnered a remarkable 65.3% viewership, excitement is building for the second night of performances at the iconic Teatro Ariston. This evening, viewers can expect to see Carlo Conti alongside notable personalities Bianca Balti, Cristiano Malgioglio, and Nino Frassica.

The evening's festivities will commence at 8:40 PM and will be broadcast live on Rai 1, Rai Play, and Rai Radio 2. Before the main event, audiences can tune in at 8:30 PM for the Pre-Festival hosted by Bianca Guaccero and Gabriele Corsi, featuring the prominent young actress Mariasole Pollio as special correspondent from Ariston. This segment aims to gear up the public for the evening's main show with interviews, anecdotes, and additional insights.

At 8:40 PM, half of the participants will return to the stage to perform their competition songs, which will be evaluated this evening by public polling and the radio jury, following yesterday's press room assessment.

Another thrilling aspect of tonight's program includes the New Proposals competition. This will feature "direct duels," where winners will move on to tomorrow's finale. Contestants include Alex Wyse with "Rockstar," Maria Tomba with "Goodbye (Voglio good vibes)," Settembre with "Vertebre," and Vale LP and Lil Jolie with "Dimmi tu quando sei pronto per fare l'amore." The verdict will be delivered through audience voting (34%), press room evaluations (33%), and the radio jury (33%).

Guests are also set to perform, featuring Damiano David, the cast of "Follemente," "Belcanto," "Champagne," and figure skating star Carolina Kostner as the ambassador for Milan-Cortina 2026. BigMama will join live from the Suzuki Stage at Piazza Colombo, adding to the festive atmosphere.

At 11:55 PM, there will be a brief interruption as the broadcast will switch to TG1 for the news, expected to conclude within sixty seconds before returning to the Ariston stage. According to the schedule, the second evening is projected to conclude around 1:12 AM, after which the after-show hosted by Alessandro Cattelan will take over, assuming there are no unforeseen delays.

Bianca Balti returns to Sanremo as one of the hosts, marking her participation at this prestigious festival for the second time, recalling her prior experience alongside Fabio Fazio and Luciana Littizzetto during the grand finale where Marco Mengoni won with "L'Essenziale". This time, Balti is gracing the stage amid her battle against cancer, which she announced last September. Throughout her treatment, she has displayed remarkable strength and shared her experiences candidly.

Known as one of the world’s most renowned top models, Balti's appearance at Sanremo has generated immense curiosity about the designers behind her stunning outfits. While providing insights during the festival, Balti dressed to impress, showcasing pieces from Italian luxury brands. At the press conference, she wore a fluid twill ensemble from Brunello Cucinelli's Spring-Summer 2025 line, and for her performance at the Ariston, she donned a sky-blue Valentino gown featuring deep cleavage and abundant fabric detailing, complete with trailing elements and delicately embroidered black gloves.

Expressing her firm stance on her participation, Balti stated, “When I decided to participate, I told Carlo I wouldn’t just be the cancer patient. I’m here as a professional top model to wear all my beautiful dresses.” With each appearance, Balti captivates audiences with her radiant beauty and professional poise.

The Italian festival continues to be not only a music competition but also showcases the glamour and artistry of fashion and entertainment, reinforcing Sanremo's status as a cornerstone of Italian culture.
