RBSE Revises 12th Exam Dates To Avoid JEE Clash

Rajasthan board makes changes to schedule to help students manage exam preparations effectively.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) has made significant adjustments to the Class 12 board exam schedule for 2025, aiming to prevent conflicts with the JEE Mains 2025 Session 2 dates. This decision, announced on February 11, 2025, was taken to ease the preparation process for students who are set to participate in both examinations, which might otherwise coincide.

According to RBSE Secretary Kailash Chandra Sharma, the board has revised the exam timetable to accommodate the changing circumstances and ensuring students aren't burdened with overlapping preparation. This proactive approach highlights the board's responsiveness to the challenges faced by students during this consequential academic period.

The revised dates are now officially available on the RBSE website, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the new schedule and adjust their study plans accordingly. The following are the key changes to the exam dates:

1. The examination for Sanskrit Literature and Sanskrit Language has been rescheduled to April 9, 2025, moving from its original date of March 22.

2. Sociology exams will now take place on April 3, 2025, instead of March 27.

3. Several important subjects, such as Rigveda, Shukla Yajurveda, Krishna Yajurveda, Samveda, Atharvaveda, and various branches of philosophy including Nyaya and Vedanta, previously set for April 1, will now be held on April 4.

4. The subjects of History, Business Studies, Agricultural Chemistry, and Chemistry have changed their examination date to March 22, instead of April 3.

5. Finally, Computer Science and Informatics Practices exams will now take place on March 27, changing from April 7.

These revisions are primarily due to the scheduling of the JEE Mains 2025 Session 2, which is slated to be conducted between April 1 and April 8, 2025. This overlap could pose significant logistical challenges for students who are attempting to juggle both important exams, thereby sparking the need for such adjustments.

Students are encouraged to stay updated with their preparations based on the new timetable and to watch for any additional notifications from the RBSE. They should also keep checking the RBSE official website for any last minute changes or updates related to the exam schedules.

Overall, the adjustments not only demonstrate RBSE's commitment to student welfare but also facilitate smoother navigation through the intense phases of academic examinations. With these changes, students can focus on their studies without the added stress of overlapping schedules.

It's imperative for students and parents to take note of these changes, prepare adequately, and keep communication lines open with teachers for guidance. Ensuring they have access to the revised exam schedule will aid them substantially during their preparations.

With this proactive revision of the Class 12 board exam schedule, RBSE continues to make strides toward accommodating the needs of its students, thereby fostering an environment conducive to both academic success and personal well-being.
