Project Runway Returns With Glamour And Fresh Talent

Season 21 promises bold designs and fierce competition with fan-favorites and new judges.

The world of high fashion is about to get even more glamorous as "Project Runway" returns for its milestone 21st season. Production commenced on March 25, 2025, and will showcase the remarkable talents of familiar faces and fresh perspectives that continue to shape the fashion industry.

Returning to the show is fan-favorite mentor Christian Siriano, a talented designer who won the competition in Season 4. He has dressed some of the most influential figures in the world, including Michelle Obama, Zendaya, Angelina Jolie, and Cardi B. Siriano’s astute eye for fashion innovation and his commitment to mentoring aspiring designers will once again be a highlight of the show.

Nina Garcia, the esteemed editor-in-chief of ELLE magazine, is also stepping back into her role as a judge. Having been a part of "Project Runway" since its inception in 2004, she has held the position for two decades, shaping opinions both within and outside the industry. Garcia’s insights carry significant weight, thanks to her extensive experience and influence in fashion. Her recognition includes the CFDA’s Media Award and USA Today’s Women of the Year honor, making her a cherished asset for the contestants.

Joining Siriano and Garcia at the judges’ table is Law Roach, a trailblazer in the world of celebrity styling. Known for transforming stars like Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Celine Dion into icons, Roach brings a fresh, fashion-forward vision to the competition. His influence has earned him recognition as one of TIME100’s Most Influential People and a title from The Hollywood Reporter as the Most Powerful Stylist.

Returning as the iconic host is Heidi Klum, now in her 16th season. An Emmy-winning host and executive producer, Klum has significantly contributed to the show’s reputation as a staple in reality television. Under her stewardship, "Project Runway" received 14 consecutive Emmy nominations for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, making it the second-most nominated series in this category.

With fresh creativity combined with the expertise of returning stars, Season 21 promises intense competition and a showcase of striking designs. "I’ve been in this business for a very long time, and I am very optimistic about the future because I see how differently this new generation of designers thinks about fashion and thinks about the industry," Garcia explained. She noted the importance of sustainability and transparency in fashion, emphasizing the need to protect the industry and the Earth.

"Project Runway" Season 21 will air weekly on Freeform, with episodes available for streaming shortly after on Disney+ and Hulu. The season is expected to redefine fashion on television, capturing the audience's attention with a blend of bold designs, fierce competition, and high-stakes drama.

Mark your calendars for the summer premiere and prepare for a season brimming with excitement. Fashion lovers won’t want to miss what’s to come as the new season unfolds, and with a roster of judges that includes industry heavyweights, viewers can bet on a captivating watch.
