Phu Tho Prepares For Hung Kings Festival 2025

Over 350 booths to showcase local specialties and OCOP products during the festival.

Phu Tho Province is gearing up for an exciting celebration as it prepares to host the Hung Kings Temple Festival and the Dat To Culture - Tourism Week in 2025. This year, the festival promises to be a vibrant showcase of local culture and cuisine, featuring over 350 booths dedicated to introducing visitors to the region's specialties and OCOP (One Commune One Product) offerings.

From April 1 to April 10, 2025, approximately 100 fixed stalls will be set up near the Hung Kings Temple and the festival center, providing an array of local delicacies and agricultural products. Popular items include traditional treats such as banh chung, banh giay, and che lam, as well as unique local products like Thanh Son sour pork and Lang Bo fermented soybeans. These goods are not only delicious but also carry labels that provide essential information, including the manufacturer's address, ingredients, contact number, production date, and expiration date, ensuring transparency for consumers.

In addition to the traditional food offerings, this year's festival has introduced a new trend that has captured the attention of both locals and tourists alike: ice cream shaped like the iconic gate to the Hung Kings Temple historical site. This delightful treat has quickly become a social media sensation, with many visitors eager to snap pictures and share their experiences online.

To ensure that the festival runs smoothly and safely, the Management Board of the Hung Kings Temple historical site has put several measures in place. They require all service businesses to commit to legal business practices and to publicly list prices for their goods. Furthermore, there are strict guidelines in place regarding food safety and hygiene, with service stalls organized in a clean and scientifically arranged manner. The Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee has also mandated that relevant authorities increase inspections and strictly enforce regulations to prevent any violations during the festival.

The Trade Fair and OCOP Product Fair of Phu Tho Province, taking place from April 2 to April 8, 2025, at Bao Da Stadium in Viet Tri City, adds another layer of excitement to the celebrations. This fair will feature over 250 booths showcasing a diverse range of products, including consumer goods, household appliances, fertilizers, construction materials, and fashion items, alongside agricultural and handicraft products.

As the festival approaches, the Organizing Committee has established an inter-sectoral inspection team, led by the Phu Tho Provincial Police, to oversee business activities during the event. This team includes representatives from various departments, such as Market Management, the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, tax authorities, health officials, and those responsible for forest protection. Their goal is to monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and to ensure that no unauthorized parking or aggressive sales tactics disrupt the experience for festival-goers.

With the combination of traditional festivities, local delicacies, and the introduction of popular new products, the Hung Kings Temple Festival and Dat To Culture - Tourism Week in 2025 promises to be a memorable event for all who attend. Visitors can expect a rich cultural experience while enjoying the best that Phu Tho Province has to offer.
