Paléo Festival Ticket Sales Begin Amid Price Increase

Fans eagerly await the lineup featuring big names as ticket prices rise due to inflation.

On March 26, 2025, excitement filled the air as the Paléo Festival kicked off its ticket sales for the highly anticipated 48th edition, set to take place from July 22 to July 27. As the clock struck 10:30 AM, approximately 200 eager fans were already waiting outside the Paléo Shop in L'Asse (VD), ready to secure their spots for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.

The ticket office officially opened at noon, with a virtual queue starting at 11:45 AM on paleo.ch, as well as at the Paléo Shop and on TicketCorner. This year, the festival's lineup features big names like Will Smith, Clara Luciani, David Guetta, Ninho & Niska, and even the legendary Sex Pistols, raising the stakes for ticket demand.

Last year, the Paléo Festival made headlines by selling out all 200,000 tickets in just 21 minutes, a record-breaking feat that left many fans scrambling for last-minute availability. In 2023, tickets had already flown off the shelves in an impressive 41 minutes, and with this year’s lineup, the question on everyone’s mind is whether that record will be shattered.

In a move that has sparked mixed reactions among festival-goers, the organizers announced a 5% increase in ticket prices this year, citing inflation as the driving force behind this decision. David Franklin, the festival's communications and sales director, stated, "The ticket prices are adjusted to our expenses. Like everything else in society, we are affected by inflation. This impacts our rates. The artist market is currently a bit crazy, which may explain part of the increase. But it’s not just that; there are also the production costs and construction fees. There isn’t a secret element behind this increase. We are following the cost of living."

The standard ticket price for this year is set at 84 francs, while reduced tickets for students, seniors, and unemployed individuals will be available for 69 francs. However, those planning to attend on Wednesday and Sunday will need to pay a little extra—10 francs more—due to the star-studded lineups featuring Will Smith and Texas on Wednesday, and David Guetta, Rilès, and Nemo on Sunday. This brings the prices to 94 francs for regular tickets and 79 francs for reduced tickets on those days.

As fans lined up outside the Paléo Shop, some die-hard attendees arrived as early as 12:30 AM to ensure they would be among the first to secure their tickets. Their dedication is a testament to the festival's popularity and the lengths fans will go to experience live performances from their favorite artists.

With the ticket sales officially underway, the anticipation continues to build. The Paléo Festival has become a staple in Switzerland's cultural calendar, drawing crowds from across the country and beyond. The festival is not just about music; it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and the arts, making it a must-attend event for many.

As the ticket sales progress, many are left wondering if they will be able to join the throngs of festival-goers this year. The combination of a stellar lineup and the festival's reputation for delivering unforgettable experiences has set the stage for another remarkable year at Paléo.

In summary, the Paléo Festival's ticket sales have officially opened, and while the price increase has raised some eyebrows, the excitement surrounding the event remains palpable. With a lineup that includes some of the biggest names in music, this year’s festival is sure to be one for the books. As fans prepare for what’s to come, the countdown to July begins, marking another chapter in the legacy of the Paléo Festival.
