BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Stemma Brewing is set to step up its game by acquiring the former Twin Sisters Brewing Company property. This new location, planned to open for business by 2025, aims to expand Stemma Brewing's production and distribution capabilities. Owner Jason Harper made the announcement during the Stemma Beer Club meeting on Monday night, expressing excitement for the upcoming changes.
Harper stated, "Our first priority is going to get the brew house going and brewing. It's ready to go, so it won't be too hard there. And then we're going to remodel the taproom space and get it reopened." With expectations of the taproom reopening within one to two months, Stemma's expansion aims to cater to the growing demand for local brews.
Despite shifting ownership, Harper clarified his vision for the new taproom, stating, "It won't be the same as Twin Sisters was," indicating he does not plan to run it as a restaurant. Instead, food options might include food trucks or collaborations with third-party vendors to utilize the large kitchen space at the Carolina Street location. The remodeling will be conducted incrementally over the course of 2025, allowing for potential shifts in conceptualization as construction progresses.
