This new role was decided as part of the efforts by the Missouri State University Advancement Office, focusing primarily on the West Plains campus's needs. With extensive experience across Missouri's educational establishments, Greim is expected to bring valuable insights and leadership.

Dr. Greim is not new to the university environment; he is a two-time alumnus of Missouri State University, having graduated in 2000 and 2002. His notable background includes establishing programs for educational improvement, such as his recent endeavor to initiate high school programs for autistic students at Liberty North High School. Such initiatives reflect his commitment to educational development, which aligns perfectly with the university's mission to support student and community growth.

Brent Dunn, Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Director of the MSU Foundation, expressed optimism about Greim's appointment. "We’re pleased to have Robert join the university advancement team, and we look forward to working with him and the staff and faculty at MSU-WP to help continue the positive momentum for community engagement and private gift support," Dunn noted, highlighting the potential for collaborative efforts between the university and the local community.

Dr. Greim shared his enthusiasm for returning to this vibrant academic community. "It is a privilege to return to Missouri State and to contribute to the growth and success of the West Plains campus," he remarked, indicating his eagerness to engage with alumni and supporters of the Grizzlies. His connection to the area runs deep, as his wife, Jill, is also rooted here, having graduated from West Plains High School in 1998.

Reflecting on Greim’s arrival, Chancellor Dennis Lancaster asserted, "We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Robert Greim to the Missouri State-West Plains family. His impressive background in education, research and development will greatly benefit our students, alumni and community. We look forward to seeing the impact of his leadership and dedication to advancing the mission of our campus.”
