McDonald's Launches New Teritama Family For Spring 2025

The Teritama lineup features six items, including the new charcoal grilled beef option, appealing to seasonal cravings.

Starting March 5, 2025, McDonald's Japan will be launching its much-anticipated "Teritama Family" for spring, featuring the all-new "Charcoal Grilled Beef Teritama" along with popular items like the "Teritama Burger" and "Cheese Teritama." This seasonal offering celebrates nearly three decades of the beloved Teritama line.

The star of this year's lineup, the "Charcoal Grilled Beef Teritama," combines flavors of charcoal-grilled beef with pork patty, egg, and lettuce, all enhanced by mild mustard mayo. Priced from 490 yen for a single item and starting at 790 yen for value sets, this new burger is expected to thrill long-time fans and newcomers alike.

The "Teritama Burger" has been gracing the McDonald's menu since its debut in 1996, cementing its status as a spring classic. This fan-favorite features pork patty coated with teriyaki sauce infused with ginger, apple, and garlic, paired with egg and lettuce, all served on sesame seed buns. The single item costs 440 yen, and the value set is available from 740 yen.

"The return of the Teritama Family is akin to the arrival of spring for our customers," said a McDonald's spokesperson. Customers have already taken to social media to express their excitement, with one user posted, "The Teritama is here! It finally feels like spring!" demonstrating the cultural significance this seasonal offering holds.

Alongside these burgers, McDonald's will also offer the "Cheese Teritama" priced at 470 yen for single items and 770 yen for value sets. This variation layers cheddar cheese with the classic Teritama ingredients, adding richness to the classic spring flavor profile.

Also on the menu are delightful beverages to celebrate the season. The "McFizz Momo Lemonade" and the "McFloat Momo Lemonade" add vibrant colors and refreshing flavors. The McFizz starts at 300 yen, and the more indulgent McFloat, topped with soft serve ice cream, begins from 380 yen.

All these seasonal items will be available until mid-April 2025 across various McDonald's locations, excluding some franchises. With this release, the excitement is palpable, as customers look forward to enjoying their favorite seasonal treats once again.

To promote the launch, McDonald's initiated a nationwide advertisement campaign beginning March 4, featuring actress Aoi Miyazaki. The new commercial emphasizes the joy of eating the Teritama line and evokes nostalgia for spring. Miyazaki expressed her own fondness for the Teritama line, stating, "Enjoy the Teritama and feel the arrival of spring!"

Social media has seen an outpouring of excitement, with fans sharing their enthusiasm: "It’s finally spring!," and "I can’t wait to taste all of them!" Their cheerful remarks demonstrate how integral this limited-time menu is to their experiences of the season.

The "Hirumaku" lunch menu will also feature the classic "Teritama Burger" for the first time as part of its offerings—setting it apart from previous seasons, making the taste experience even more affordable during weekdays.

With its dedicated return and fresh items capturing vibrant spring flavors, the Teritama Family aims to satisfy loyal customers and attract new ones. Popular items are sure to sell quickly, as the nostalgic flavors and engaging new additions make for thrilling culinary experiences for McDonald's patrons.

Overall, McDonald's reinvigorates its Teritama Family product line this spring, embracing nostalgia and flavor. Stay tuned for the forthcoming announcement of additional products from this series, as McDonald’s promises even more ways to enjoy the ‘sweet happiness’ originating from the classic flavors consumers yearn for.
