The updated application, named "Magnit: Promotions and Delivery," uniquely combines all of the company's retail formats under one platform, facilitating user access to the comprehensive ecosystem of Magnit. This integration includes offline product catalogs, grocery deliveries, cosmetics orders, pharmacy products, and access to the vast array of items available on "Magnit Market," along with all the features of the loyalty program "Magnit Plus," among others.
According to Gyuvench Donmez, Director of the Magnit Omni Business Group, the updated application marks a pivotal step for the company, enhancing overall customer experience and fortifying its competitive edge within the market. "Magnit is the first retailer in Russia to consolidate all retail formats within one application, offering customers a unique omnichannel experience," Donmez commented.
The application's new design features innovative personalization capabilities. Not only does the main page aggregate all of Magnit’s services, but it also adapts to each customer. The app analyzes users’ shopping habits and preferences, both from offline and online channels, offering relevant products, discounts, and services based on this data. This automatic adjustment service creates a more convenient purchasing experience, allowing customers to find and buy exactly what they want.
A detailed examination of user behavior and customer pathways based on accumulated data has driven the interaction with the app to be as comfortable and relevant as possible. "We've implemented substantial changes to our digital infrastructure and data analytics at Magnit to create this unified, convenient, and personalized product for our customers," noted Andrey Korystin, Product Director of Magnit Omni.
"We have enhanced the app to simplify the shopping experience for our customers. It's important for every Magnit customer to execute as many shopping missions as possible within our ecosystem," Korystin elaborated. He emphasized the significance of multiformat shopping, where customers have the choice of how and where to shop—be it at their local physical store, online with delivery, through the marketplace, or via "Magnit Cosmetics."
One unique feature of the app is its ability to highlight specific retail formats where products can be purchased, including relevant discounts based on user behavior. The app's interface adapts for each individual to make it easier to purchase desired items. This flexibility stems from extensive work with data and upgraded IT systems, which have been in development for over the past year.
Donmez indicated the importance of utilizing innovative management approaches to unite developers, analysts, and business units, which facilitated the creation of this unique retail product within record time.
