MAGA Congressman’s Wife Accuses Him Of Being On Drugs

Emily Moreno Miller claims her estranged husband Max Miller uses drugs amid custody dispute

A MAGA congressman is facing serious allegations from his estranged wife, sparking a bitter custody and divorce battle. Max Miller, who serves as the representative for Ohio and previously worked as an aide to Donald Trump, has had his reputation questioned by Emily Moreno Miller, who claims he has been involved with drugs.

The issue first came to light when court documents, highlighted by Cleveland.com, disclosed these serious accusations. Miller is not taking the allegations lightly, as he has actively denied any involvement with drug use. Rather, he claims the rumors are a tactic used by his wife to limit his access to their 10-month-old daughter, Ruth.

According to the court filings, Emily Moreno Miller, 30, made the decision to leave their home situated in Rocky River, Ohio. She took their infant daughter and her belongings, moving to a new residence valued at $650,000, purchased secretly by her father. The details of this sudden relocation paint a picture of growing tensions within their marriage. Miller claims this act demonstrated his wife's unwillingness to communicate or negotiate amicably.

Max Miller, aged 35, upon learning of these allegations, took immediate action by voluntarily submitting to a drug test, the results of which he claims were negative. His attorney emphasized to The Daily Beast the congressman’s commitment to combating these accusations and his desire to focus on parenting. They declined to comment beyond this statement, highlighting the contentious nature of the current family situation.

Not only did Miller deny using drugs, but he also alleged his estranged wife made other claims about their relationship. He purportedly faced accusations concerning negative comments he made about her family, though the papers do not specify exactly what these remarks were. Adding another layer to this complex narrative is Moreno Miller’s lineage; she is the daughter of Bernie Moreno, who has received Trump’s endorsement for the Ohio Senate seat, currently held by Democrat Sherrod Brown.

The marriage, which initially appeared as the union of two individuals from affluent backgrounds sharing similar political convictions, has devolved since their wedding two years ago. Now, the couple, once seen as MAGA representatives, is embroiled in strife. Miller’s court documents suggest major fractures existed well before the current accusations surfaced.

Emily Moreno Miller has not yet filed any responsive legal documentation, which raises questions about her strategy as the proceedings continue. The use of process servers by Miller to deliver legal documents emphasizes the depth of animosity between the two.

Another significant allegation by Miller is his wife's insistence on being present whenever he wished to see their daughter. He characterized her behavior as obstructive, claiming she suggested he might disregard their child's safety or well-being—a statement he ardently dismissed as “absolutely absurd.” He noted instances when he was solely responsible for caring for Ruth, especially during Emily’s trips, including one notable visit to the Republican National Convention, where her father was speaking.

To complicate their tangled relationship, Miller accused Moreno Miller of having THC-infused beverages within their home, which is not illegal under Ohio law following the legalization of recreational marijuana earlier this year. He claimed this as part of her attempt to use the situation to “extort” him—involving financial concessions tied to visitation rights with their child.

At the center of their disputes also lies disagreements over financial responsibilities. Miller cited her $140,000 luxury vehicle, acquired from one of her father's dealerships, and mentioned she expected him to pay insurance on it and cover his share of her Washington D.C. condominium fees. When he pushed back on these financial expectations, she instructed him to have his lawyers consult with hers for all discussions related to their daughter.

This clash of interests, accusations, and financial contention has culminated on the second anniversary of their wedding, posing the question of how the couple, once considered powerful figures within the MAGA community, could descend to such discord.
