London Pubs Serve Bottomless Guinness For Six Nations

Availing bottomless pints and food, Social Pub and Kitchen transform match viewings across London.

Pubs across London are raising their glasses to the Six Nations rugby tournament with enticing offers for fans eager to enjoy the games. Starting January 31, 2025, multiple branches of Social Pub and Kitchen are serving bottomless Guinness pints as part of their newly launched Icon's Brunch.

This promotion invites customers to drink as much Guinness as they can manage within two hours, running until March 17, 2025. Notably, this is set to coincide with one of the most highly anticipated Six Nations editions, with France and Ireland being formidable contenders. Customer options extend beyond just Guinness; cocktails like espresso martinis and Prosecco are available for those who prefer something different.

With prices ranging from £34 to £40 per person, venues are offering not just drinks but also a selection of satisfying foods, including Guinness-flavored burgers, stonebaked pizzas, and nachos. Every match throughout the tournament—including the final scheduled for February 15—will be broadcasted across participating locations, ensuring fans won’t miss any of the action.

According to Social Pub and Kitchen, the chain is preparing to serve approximately 130,000 pints of Guinness during the tournament, with Stephen Cooper, Head of Marketing, expressing confidence in the promotion’s success. "There’s nothing quite like enjoying the Six Nations with good food and a cold pint of Guinness," Cooper said, encouraging rugby fans to join the festivities.

The excitement is palpable, especially after the national shortage of Guinness reported last December, which led to some pubs running low on stock. Diageo, the parent company of Guinness, reported strong sales driving growth across its portfolio, indicating the immense demand for the famous stout.

The Icon's Brunch takes place at 26 different venues across London, dynamically catering to the tastes of sports enthusiasts. For those who want to join the fun, participating pubs include:

  • Alice Houndsditch, Aldgate

  • Duke Of Somerset, Aldgate

The introduction of bottomless Guinness is only anticipated to strengthen Guinness’s already soaring popularity among the UK populace, particularly among younger beer drinkers. Social media buzz, especially on platforms like TikTok, shows young fans daring each other to perfect the famous "45-degree pour" or to take part in viral challenges, generating excitement and engagement around both the stout and the sport.

"Our bottomless brunches have always been hugely popular; we know iconic drinks like Guinness and Espresso Martini are what our guests want when watching the rugby," Cooper noted. He emphasized the pub’s commitment to creating the ultimate Six Nations watch experience across London, showcasing renowned beverages alongside excellent food offerings.

With the backdrop of competitive rugby matches and the camaraderie of fans enjoying bottomless drinks, Social Pub and Kitchen aim to make this Six Nations unforgettable for all attendees, ensuring sports lovers have the ideal setting to cheer on their favorite teams.
