Laneway Festival 2025 Set Times Announced

Charli XCX and other headliners prepare for sold-out festival across Australia and New Zealand.

The 2025 Laneway Festival is all set to electrify music lovers across Australia and New Zealand, having officially shared the running times for its upcoming sold-out installment. The festival will be headlined by the talented Charli XCX, who is slated to deliver a stellar 75-minute performance.

This year, Laneway will feature just two main stages: the dual Good Better Best/Never Let It Rest stage and the Everything Ecstatic Stage. Interestingly, the latter will retain the name Dean Turner Stage for the Melbourne leg of the festival, honoring the late bassist of the band Magic Dirt, who tragically passed away in 2009.

For those who missed out on tickets initially, there’s still hope; a final release of tickets for the Brisbane and Melbourne shows will go on sale on Thursday, January 23, at 10 AM local time. Interested festival-goers can access Brisbane ticketing here and Melbourne ticketing here.

Alongside Charli XCX, the lineup includes other headliners such as Clairo, Beabadoobee, Barry Can’t Swim, and the electronic music group BICEP. Notably, fans are buzzing with excitement about the diverse selection of acts, but some have voiced disappointment over scheduling conflicts. One fan lamented, "nooo why would you put Bicep on the same time as Charli," highlighting the tough decisions festival-goers will have to make.

The anticipation surrounding the festival builds as it draws near, with just over two weeks remaining until Charli XCX, Beabadoobee, Clairo, Djo, BICEP, and others take the stage. Fans are not just eyeing the headliners; several sideshows are also happening, featuring acts like Remi Wolf, Joey Valence & Brae, Olivia Dean, and Eyedress, among others.

This year’s festival isn’t just about the big names; it’s also showcasing promising up-and-coming talent. For example, Neesha Alexander is set to bring her unique fusion of traditional culture and dance music to the Brisbane stage. Meanwhile, Melbourne participants can expect a high-energy set from New York City-based DJ Ivan Berko.

Adelaide will see performances from indie-pop group Divebar Youth and the soulful electronic artist PINES, whereas Perth will feature the Afrocentric beats of Jxnior and pop sensation Mariae Cassandra, who is only 17 years old. These performances are sure to add layers of excitement to the festival experience, catering to diverse musical tastes.

The Laneway Festival has proven to be immensely popular. Initial ticket sales for the events in Sydney and Melbourne sold out within just one hour, showcasing the high demand among fans. With the limited ticket release announcement, anticipation is palpable, and the festival is beckoning music enthusiasts to secure their spots.

Laneway Festival 2025 is presented by Triple J and supported by the NSW Government through the tourism and events agency, Destination NSW. Festival dates are set across several cities: starting on February 6th at Western Springs, Auckland; moving to Brisbane Showgrounds on February 8th; progressing to Sydney Showground on February 9th; and then to Flemington Park, Melbourne on February 14th. The lineup will continue with Adelaide's Bonython Park on February 15th and Wellington Square, Perth, on February 16th.

All attendees are required to be 16 years or older, ensuring the festival caters to both younger and older audiences who appreciate vibrant live music.

With the clock ticking down to the festival, excitement is building. Fans and performers alike are counting down the days until the music starts and unforgettable memories are created. Will you be part of the action?
