JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Results Released Today

Over 14 candidates score 100 percentile with only one female standout.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session 1, conducted for Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech.), on February 11, 2025. This announcement marks a significant milestone for the students who sat for the exam held between January 22 and January 29, 2025. The results have evoked excitement and anticipation among ranking candidates, especially as 14 students achieved the coveted 100 percentile this year.

Among the impressive list of candidates, Sai Manogna Guthikonda from Andhra Pradesh stands out as the only female to secure this top rank. This year’s examination confirmed the trend of increasing competitiveness, particularly with over 12.5 lakh students registered—an impressive attendance rate of 95.93% of the total candidates registered. The JEE Main is viewed as one of the most challenging engineering entrance exams, serving as the gateway to prestigious engineering institutes across India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

The examination covered by the NTA involved candidates from diverse backgrounds, showcasing talents from various states. The top scorers hailed from different parts of India, boasting extraordinary achievements. Among these, the majority of aspiring engineers originated from Rajasthan, which emerged as the leading state with successful candidates this year.

The top scorers include:

  • Ayush Singhal – Rajasthan

  • Kushagra Gupta – Karnataka

  • Daksh – Delhi (NCT)

  • Shreyas Lohiya – Uttar Pradesh

  • Parth Sehra – Rajasthan

  • Harshal Gupta – Chhattisgarh

  • Sai Manogna Guthikonda – Andhra Pradesh

  • Others topping the list from states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh

Notably, 39 candidates had their results withheld due to being found engaging in unfair practices during the examination, which remains a focal concern for exam integrity.

This year's JEE Main yielded gender participation data where out of 13,11,544 registrations, only 4,43,622 were female candidates, indicative of the growing but still limited female representation within the science and technology streams. With only one female topper among the 14 highest scoring candidates, the NTA has emphasized its goal to encourage more female participation in future sessions.

The full examination was conducted across 618 centres located not only within India but also internationally, embracing candidates from diverse linguistic backgrounds, as instructions were made available in 13 languages. This internationalization of the exam reflects the NTA's commitment to fostering accessibility and inclusivity.

Following the results announcement, candidates are advised to check their results on the official NTA website: jeemain.nta.nic.in. Next steps for top performers include preparing for the JEE Advanced exam, as only the top 2.5 lakh ranked candidates from JEE Main are eligible to sit for this prestigious follow-up test for admission to IITs.

Looking forward, registration for the JEE Main April session is already underway, with the deadline for application submissions set for February 25, 2025. Students are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and use this time to strategize their preparation for the highly anticipated second round of testing.

To recap, the announcement of the JEE Main 2025 session 1 results not only signifies the end of hard work for thousands but also sets the stage for the next competitive challenges faced by aspiring engineers across the country.
