CES 2025, the world’s largest consumer electronics and IT exhibition, is set to take place from January 7 to 10, 2025, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Major companies have already unveiled exciting new products, showcasing innovations across various sectors.
LG Electronics is making headlines with its 2025 lineup of LG Gram laptops, incorporating advanced artificial intelligence capabilities. Scheduled to debut at CES 2025, these new models will also see simultaneous releases in South Korea. The flagship LG Gram series is powered by Intel’s next-generation Core Ultra Processor Series 2 and features Multi-AI functionality. This allows for both on-device and cloud-based AI services, drastically enhancing user interfaces and experiences.
A standout innovation within the series is the proprietary on-device AI named Gram Chat On-Device. This feature allows users to perform AI tasks directly on their laptops without needing internet access, ensuring speed and security when handling personal data. For more complex inquiries, users can access the cloud-based Gram Chat Cloud, which utilizes the sophisticated GPT-4 Omni system. LG is also offering buyers of the 2025 LG Gram a year of free access to the Gram Chat Cloud service.
Portability remains key with the new lineup. The 16-inch Gram Pro laptop weighs merely 1,199 grams, and the model equipped with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card is 1,359 grams. Despite its impressive features, the 17-inch Gram Pro also retains lightness at 1,369 grams. Yoon-Seok Lee from LG’s IT Business Division emphasized, “With the Multi-AI functionality, we aim to set a new standard for AI PCs, delivering transformative AI experiences in everyday life.”
Meanwhile, MICROIP is ready to display its Genio AI IoT platform, along with its Rapid IC Design Development Platform, which embodies the company’s innovative spirit. Samsung Electronics is also set to capture attention at CES with its latest smart home innovation embodied by the ‘AI Home’ product line. This comprehensive suite offers seamless integration of home appliances using advanced AI and connectivity features, primarily managed through the SmartThings platform. The AI Home concept allows for control of various connected devices like refrigerators and lighting through interfaces on the appliances themselves. This initiative has reportedly garnered over 20 million users domestically.
A notable feature of the AI Home appliances is the touchscreens, such as the 9-inch Bespoke refrigerator’s display, which allows users to control multiple devices and access apps like YouTube and Spotify effortlessly. Moon Jong-seung highlighted, “Samsung screen home appliances have a clear competitive edge to provide easy device connection experiences. We will continue to introduce various AI home appliances and services to help users ease household chores and enjoy device connection experiences.”
