India Faces Drastic Weather Changes On February 4th, 2025

Western disturbances set to bring rain and thunderstorms across northern India, altering temperatures significantly.

The weather forecast for India on February 4th, 2025, suggests notable changes due to the influence of western disturbances across various states, particularly affecting northern and western regions. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), significant rainfall and thunderstorms are expected, leading to fluctuations in temperatures and weather conditions.

Starting with the northern plains, Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) are bracing for overcast skies accompanied by light rain. The IMD predicts temperatures will hover around 22 degrees Celsius during the day, dropping to about 9 degrees Celsius at night. This change is attributed to two active western disturbances affecting the region.

Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab may witness similar weather patterns, with the IMD indicating potential rainfall from February 3rd to February 5th. Significant weather events include thunderstorms and light to moderate showers, forecasted to provide slight respite from the preceding heat. “Maximum temperatures may drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius due to forecasted rain, providing slight relief from the current heat,” stated by the IMD.

Specific regions within Uttar Pradesh, such as Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, and Prayagraj, will experience varying degrees of rainfall. Notably, Lucknow recorded maximum temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius, which are set to decrease as rain approaches. The western disturbances are expected to bring cooler breezes, offering some comfort from the high temperatures experienced earlier during the week.

Further west, Rajasthan’s weather is also set to change due to the same disturbances. According to local meteorologists, cities like Jaipur may face light showers, influenced by cyclonic circulation associated with these disturbances. Weather patterns are expected to shift, with maxima around 25 degrees Celsius and minima around 12 degrees Celsius. The recent warm temperatures experienced have led to alterations as moisture from the disturbances leads to predicted precipitation.

At the same time, the picturesque town of Nainital is set for turbulent weather. Nainital has enjoyed sunny spells recently, attracting more tourists eager to explore its beauty. “Tourists flocked to Nainital to enjoy the sunny weather, even as rain looms on the horizon,” reported local meteorologists, hinting at the resilience of tourism against the backdrop of imminent rain and thunderstorms.

Across northeastern India, the influence of cyclonic systems amplifies as regions like Arunachal Pradesh and Assam prepare for unpredictable weather with forecasts predicting rain and temperature drops. Districts within these states experience varied weather conditions, showcasing the complex interplay between local geography and weather patterns.

The IMD has conveyed potential conditions for visibility as fog is expected to blanket areas around Bihar, leading to flight delays and transportation difficulties. An orange alert has been issued due to the dense fog detected early this morning, impacting several districts.

Conclusively, February 4th is anticipated to be significant not only for its weather alterations but also for its impact on agriculture, tourism, and daily activities of residents across these regions. The IMD has cautioned people to prepare for sudden changes caused by the active disturbances and monitor local news for updates on weather conditions.
