Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has unveiled the much-anticipated 2025 Honda Activa 125, incorporating modern features and compliance with OBD2B regulations. With prices starting at ₹94,422 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the updated scooter aims to uphold its reputation as one of India’s top-selling models, bringing significant upgrades to its design and functionality.
The launch event, led by Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President, and CEO of HMSI, emphasized the importance of innovation and consumer satisfaction. "We are happy to announce the new OBD2B-compliant Activa 125. The introduction of this updated model demonstrates our commitment to customer satisfaction,” Otani expressed. He also highlighted advanced features like the TFT display and Bluetooth connectivity, stating, "We aim to redefine the riding experience for customers and set benchmarks in its segment."
The 2025 Activa 125 features a new 4.2-inch TFT dashboard, which is integrated with the Honda RoadSync app. This connectivity allows riders to access navigation, call, and message alerts directly from their scooters. Adding to the convenience, the model now includes a USB Type-C charging port, addressing the needs of today’s tech-savvy riders.
Yogesh Mathur, Director of Sales and Marketing at HMSI, commented on the scooter's enhancements. “By integrating smart connectivity features like Bluetooth, navigation, and USB Type-C charging, we are addressing the needs of today’s riders,” he said. The Activa 125's design continues to reflect its iconic heritage, but now features updated brown seats and contrasting inner panels, giving it a more premium look.
From a performance standpoint, the 2025 Activa 125 retains its mechanical setup, powered by a revised 123.92 cc, single-cylinder engine. This powerplant is now capable of delivering 8.3 bhp and 10.15 Nm of torque, along with improved fuel efficiency thanks to the idling stop system. These changes align with current environmental standards, maintaining the scooter’s strong market position amid growing demand for environmentally friendly vehicles.
Honda has ensured to keep the model attractive with six new color options for consumers to choose from: Pearl Igneous Black, Matt Axis Gray Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, Pearl Siren Blue, Rebel Red Metallic, and Pearl Precious White. The Activa 125 continues to be offered in two variants - the DLX variant priced at ₹94,422 and the H-Smart variant going up to ₹97,146 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The updated model is strategically placed against competitors including the Suzuki Access 125 and TVS Jupiter 125, which are offered at starting ex-showroom prices of ₹80,700 and ₹79,540, respectively.
