Honda Hiromu And Hamagawa Roai Launch New Unit ROIROM

The duo announces their debut following the timelesz project audition, exciting fans with new entertainment plans.

In a surprising turn of events, Honda Hiromu and Hamagawa Roai, two contestants from the popular audition program "timelesz project," have announced their debut as a new unit named ROIROM. This announcement was made on May 8, 2025, through their respective Instagram accounts, captivating fans who had been eagerly awaiting their next steps after the audition.

Honda took to Instagram on May 6, 2025, to tease his followers, urging them to check his X account under the username '@comingsoon57108' on May 8 at noon. Hamagawa followed suit on May 7, sharing a video that echoed the same aesthetic as Honda's post, further building anticipation for their announcement.

The "timelesz project" audition, which began on April 1, 2024, attracted an impressive 18,922 entries after the idol group Sexy Zone rebranded to timelesz. The program gained significant attention when Netflix began streaming it on September 13, 2024, making it a hot topic among fans of the genre.

After a rigorous selection process, eight contestants reached the final screening, with three being eliminated. Ultimately, five members were selected: Takuto Terasishi, Takashi Haraga, Shosei Hashimoto, Shuto Inomata, and Daiju Sasakura. These five joined existing members Fuma Kikuchi, Shori Sato, and So Matsushima, forming an eight-member group.

However, the elimination of Honda, Hamagawa, and fellow contestant Asai Nago sparked a wave of support from fans who questioned the decision. Online comments reflected their disappointment, with many expressing a desire for the eliminated trio to debut in a different capacity. Asai, who is 18 years old, shared her own aspirations on Instagram, stating, "I have to return to America for a while, but through this experience, I have a new dream of standing on the stage in Japan." This sentiment resonated with fans who were keen to see all three succeed.

On the day of their announcement, Hamagawa expressed his gratitude in a heartfelt post, stating, "I am always supported and encouraged by everyone's overflowing comments and messages. Thank you very much!" He went on to share the exciting news that he and Honda would be starting their entertainment activities as ROIROM, emphasizing their commitment to music and a variety of challenges aimed at bringing joy to their fans.

Honda echoed Hamagawa's sentiments, thanking fans for their support and revealing that the opportunity to start their entertainment careers came sooner than he had anticipated. He stated, "From now on, as Honda Hiromu of ROIROM, I will challenge myself to various things, including my favorite music and acting, and strive to deliver new charms." Both members conveyed their eagerness to connect with fans and give back for their support.

In conjunction with their debut, the official fan club for ROIROM, titled "ROIROM OFFICIAL FANCLUB," was launched at 7 PM on May 8, 2025. The fan club promises exclusive content, including videos, photos, music, and blogs, as well as advance reservations for live events and fan meetings. The accompanying app will feature live broadcasts and special content, including interactive talk sessions with Honda and Hamagawa.

To commemorate the fan club's opening, limited-edition merchandise exclusive to members will also be available for pre-order from 8 PM on May 8 to 11:59 PM on May 14, 2025. This initiative aims to enhance the connection between ROIROM and their supporters, offering fans unique opportunities to engage with the duo.

The announcement of ROIROM has generated a buzz among fans, many of whom are excited about the duo's potential. Comments on social media reflect a mix of anticipation and nostalgia, with some fans expressing sadness over the absence of fellow contestant Nishiyama Tomoki, who was also part of the audition process. Nishiyama, known for his participation in the "Asia Super Young" audition program alongside Honda and Hamagawa, has reportedly secured a spot in a different major entertainment agency, which prevented him from joining ROIROM.

Despite the mixed emotions surrounding the formation of ROIROM, the excitement is palpable as fans rally behind Honda and Hamagawa. Online reactions include expressions of support and enthusiasm for the new unit, with fans eagerly anticipating their performances and future projects. One fan commented, "I can only imagine how thrilling it will be to see them sing and dance together!"

Overall, the debut of ROIROM marks a new chapter for Honda and Hamagawa, as they embark on their journey in the entertainment industry. With their backgrounds in the competitive audition scene and the support of their dedicated fanbase, the duo is poised to make a significant impact in the world of music and performance. As they navigate this new phase, fans are hopeful that ROIROM will bring fresh energy and creativity to the idol landscape.
