Havas Creative España Welcomes New Executive Creative Directors

Félix Carral and José Izaguirre to lead creative vision starting March 3.

Havas Creative España has officially announced the appointment of Félix Carral and José Izaguirre as the new Executive Creative Directors, effective March 3rd. They will be working under the leadership of Jesús Rasines, the General Creative Director of the agency.

Both Carral and Izaguirre join Havas after spending the last eight years as creative directors at Ogilvy Madrid, where they spearheaded numerous iconic campaigns. Their noteworthy portfolio includes impactful work for entities like DGT, through campaigns such as 'Los 36' and 'Los atropellos de Amaia y Eduard'. They are also celebrated for 'La Planta dos y 1/2' aimed at El Corte Inglés, as well as the recent Christmas campaigns for Suchard.

Under their creative vision, they have developed successful brand platforms such as 'La vida, el deporte que más amamos' for Decathlon España and 'Bien Jugado' for ONCE, showcasing their ability to connect brands effectively with audiences. Their collaborative efforts have extended to major brands, including Bimbo, Iberdrola, Iberia, Milka, Philadelphia, and Generali. Notably, they also managed the global creative direction for Decathlon over the past two years.

Félix Carral and José Izaguirre began their careers back in 2008 at the agency SCPF, where Carral served as copywriter and Izaguirre as art director. Working together for seven years, they produced memorable ads for various advertisers, including Banc Sabadell, IKEA, Solvia, BMW, Mini, and Ron Santa Teresa.

From 2015 to 2017, they held the helm of creative direction at M&C Saatchi Madrid, managing important accounts such as Renfe, Codorníu, Huawei, and Coca-Cola. Their remarkable 16-year career now stands with extensive acclaim, achieving recognition at some of the most prestigious advertising festivals both nationally and internationally, including Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, El Sol, Premios Eficacia, and the C de C. Across their careers, Carral and Izaguirre have accumulated over 200 entries recognized in the annuals of the C de C festival alone.

Both are also committed to nurturing future talent; they've served as jury members at renowned advertising festivals El Sol and C de C. Simultaneously, they have taken up teaching roles at the Complutense University and creative schools like Zink Project and The Atomic Garden.

Reflecting on their new appointments, Jesús Rasines, Chief Creative Officer of Havas Creative España, stated, "José and Félix have a prestigious creative background filled with awards and campaigns we all know. They possess talent, creative ambition, and strategic vision beyond the ordinary. I cannot envision a more suitable executive creative direction for this new phase Havas Creative is about to enter." His words encapsulate the high expectations and trust placed upon Carral and Izaguirre to steer the agency's creative output going forward.

The pair's track record, creativity, and collaborative partnership speak volumes about what they are poised to achieve at Havas Creative España. Their invitation reflects not just their professional esteem but also the agency's commitment to raise the bar for future campaigns, ensuring Havas remains competitive and innovative within the advertising domain.

With the distinctive vision of Carral and Izaguirre at the helm, Havas Creative España is gearing up for exciting developments, reinforcing its reputation as one of the leading creative powerhouses. The expectation is set high as they prepare to launch fresh, innovative marketing initiatives as they take on their new roles.
