Gujarat Board Prepares For GSEB 2025 Results Release

Students await critical results that will shape their academic futures in May 2025.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has successfully wrapped up the SSC (Class 10) and HSC (Class 12) board examinations for the academic year 2024–25. With lakhs of students having appeared for the offline exams, the board is now gearing up to release the GSEB 2025 results, tentatively scheduled for May.

The exams were held across multiple centers in Gujarat under strict supervision and adherence to academic protocols. According to GSEB, the SSC (Class 10) exams were conducted from February 27 to March 13, 2025, while the HSC (Class 12) Science Stream exams took place from February 27 to March 10, 2025. The General Stream (Arts & Commerce) exams ran from February 27 to March 17, 2025.

The exam timings were structured to accommodate the students effectively: SSC exams were held from 10:00 AM to 1:15 PM, the HSC Science Stream from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM, and the General Stream from 10:30 AM to 1:45 PM for the morning shift and 3:00 PM to 6:15 PM for the afternoon shift. Students were tested on their understanding of updated syllabi, and according to teachers, this year’s papers were moderately difficult, especially in Science and Mathematics.

Students can expect to check their results online on the board’s official portal, gseb.org. The process is straightforward: students need to click on “SSC Result 2025” or “HSC Result 2025,” enter their seat number, and then view and download their scorecard. The results will also be accessible via SMS and WhatsApp, with students able to send a message with their seat number to 6357300971 to confirm their results.

For those who may not pass, GSEB will conduct supplementary exams, known as Purak Pariksha, for students who fail to secure the minimum passing marks of 33% in each subject. The schedule for these supplementary exams will be announced shortly after the results are declared. Students can also apply for revaluation or a photocopy of their answer sheets if they are dissatisfied with their marks.

The anticipation surrounding the GSEB 2025 results is palpable, as these scores will determine students’ eligibility for future academic pursuits and can open or close doors to competitive exams and college admissions. For HSC Science students, the scores are particularly crucial for securing seats in engineering, medical, and other technical courses. Students of Class 10 and 12 now enter a critical waiting period, with the results expected to be released in May 2025.

In a related development, speculation surrounding the GSEB HSC Result 2025 has sparked confusion. Multiple online sources reported that the GSEB would declare the Class 12 (Science Stream) results on April 17, 2025. However, the Board has issued an official clarification denying these claims, stating that no such announcement has been made. The Board has labeled the circulating press release as “fake” and urged students and parents to rely solely on verified information from the official website.

The GSEB has emphasized the importance of checking official channels for updates, particularly as misinformation can lead to unnecessary anxiety among students. The Board also noted that the past performance of GSEB HSC results has shown a significant rise in pass percentages, with regular candidates’ pass rates increasing from 73.27% in 2023 to 91.93% in 2024. In 2024, a total of 3,78,268 regular candidates appeared, with 3,47,738 eligible for certification. Female candidates notably outperformed their male counterparts with a pass percentage of 94.36% compared to 89.45% among males.

In preparation for the upcoming academic year, students are advised to keep their admit cards safe, as seat numbers are mandatory for result access. Once the results are live, students should download and print their scorecards immediately for use in counseling and admissions. HSC students should start preparing for university admissions, while SSC students need to decide on their streams—Science, Commerce, or Arts.

For students who are not satisfied with their results, the revaluation window will open within seven days post-result declaration, giving them a chance to contest their scores. The GSEB will also release a helpline number to assist students with queries related to the results and the next steps in their academic journey.

As the GSEB prepares to unveil the results, students and parents alike are encouraged to stay calm and check the official website regularly for the latest updates. Whether it’s higher secondary admission or undergraduate enrollment, these results will play a pivotal role in shaping every student’s educational path.
