Félix Bingui, the presumed leader of the notorious "Yoda" drug trafficking clan, has been indicted and placed under provisional detention following his recent extradition from Morocco to France. The 34-year-old, known as "The Cat," was arrested back in March 2024 and extradited to France on January 22. He was formally charged the following Friday.
According to his lawyer, Me Philippe Ohayon, the indictment took place under what he described as "serene conditions." Bingui will be facing severe allegations, which include importing narcotics on behalf of organized crime syndicates, money laundering, and failing to declare his income.
