Among the highlights was the Mexican Air Force’s impressive display, featuring 21 T-6C+ aircraft, 6 PC-7 planes, and a variety of helicopters, including 3 Bell 412s, 7 UH-60Ms, 6 MI-17s, and 3 MD-530s.
Brazil, the guest of honor, showcased its renowned 'Fumaça' aerobatic squadron, flying the Embraer A-29 Super Tucano aircraft, which captivated the audience with its precision maneuvers. The Brazilian C390 aircraft also took center stage, noted for its versatility in transporting personnel and equipment, as well as its capability to function as an aerial tanker.
Adding to the international flair, the United States participated with a cutting-edge F-35A Lightning II, operated by an Air Force pilot, alongside a B-52H strategic bomber. Spain contributed to the event with the Airbus A400M, one of the most advanced military transport models globally, capable of carrying up to 128 tons. This aircraft's presence highlighted the international cooperation in aerospace development.
David Sandoval Martínez, Lieutenant Colonel of the Air Force and Deputy General Director of Airports for the Grupo Aeroportuario, Ferroviario, de Servicios Auxiliares y Conexos, Olmeca-Maya-Mexica (GAFSACOMM), reported a successful participation in the event, stating that all objectives were achieved. He emphasized the importance of managing national assets and ensuring their profitability for the benefit of Mexico.
During the three-day event, GAFSACOMM promoted the 12 airports it manages across the country, including Tulum, Puebla, Chetumal, and Campeche. Sandoval highlighted the Tulum Airport's growing demand, particularly from tourists from Europe, the United States, and Canada, noting its complementary role alongside the Cancun Airport.
Fernando Cazares, manager of Security and Quality at GAFSACOMM, reiterated the significance of the Tulum Airport and pointed out that the Apodaca Airport is expected to gain prominence during the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup due to its strategic location in the Monterrey metropolitan area.
