Current INFE Poll 2025 Standings:

France Télévisions has revealed its commentary team for the upcoming 69th Eurovision Song Contest. One month before the Grand Final of Eurovision 2025, broadcasters start to reveal the identity of their commentators and/or their spokespersons. France joined the list as France Télévisions announced who will provide comments for French viewers next month.

For the semi-finals, Stéphane Bern will be in charge of commentating on the two shows, most likely on Culturebox, as it was already the case in 2024. Stéphane Bern will be joined by Laurence Boccolini for the Grand Final, aired on France 2. After a first experience in 2010, Stéphane Bern has been the French commentator since 2015, being associated with Laurence Boccolini since 2021. France will be represented this year by Louane with her song “Maman”. As a Big Five member, the country is automatically qualified for the Grand Final of May 17.

France was one of seven countries to participate in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Since then, they have participated in every contest aside from 1974 and 1982. Their withdrawal in 1974 was caused by the death of President Georges Pompidou, while 1982’s withdrawal was a result of TF1 declining to enter the contest. France has won the contest on five occasions, the most recent being in 1977 when Marie Myriam performed “L’oiseau et l’enfant”. France’s best result of the 21st century came in 2021 when Barbara Pravi finished second in Rotterdam.

The 37 participants in Eurovision 2025 are in the starting-blocks. The 69th edition of the song contest is fast approaching. Following Nemo' s victory last year, the event will take place in Basel, Switzerland, with two semi-finals scheduled for May 13 and 15, followed by the grand final on Saturday, May 17, 2025. For the time being, the first six qualifying countries are already known. They are France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Great Britain (the famous 'Big-5' countries), as well as Switzerland, this year's host country.

But which countries will join them? The suspense remains. In the meantime, predictions are rife, and a number of candidates are considered favourites, including KAJ, the Swedish candidate, and JJ, the Austrian representative. But there's another candidate in the bookmakers' Top 5. It's Claude, representing the Netherlands this year. On April 18, 2025, the Dutch candidate is ranked 5th in the Eurovision Song Contest, with a 5% chance of winning the final, according to the bookmakers.

According to the bookmakers, Claude has a 47% chance of making the Top 5 and a 67% chance of making the Top 10. In other news, the video clip for his song "C'est la vie" is the 3rd most viewed on YouTube. So, who is Claude? Claude's full name is Claude Kiambe, and he hails from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He arrived in the Netherlands at the age of 9. Since then, the artist has already made a name for himself, taking part in The Voice Kids in 2019. In 2022, he released his single "Ladada (Mon Dernier Mot)", which reached number one in the Nederlandse Top 40. His career was then truly launched, to the point of being named "Best Artist of the Year" by Qmusic. In 2024, Claude released his first opus, "Parler Français". In fact, it was a French song that Claude chose to try and win over the Eurovision jury and viewers. Entitled "C'est la vie", the song mixes the language of Molière and the language of Shakespeare. So, will this choice make the difference? Will Claude make it through to the semi-finals and stand on the podium on May 17? The answer is coming soon!

Everything you need to know about the talented celebs who’ll be hosting Eurovision Basel 2025! Eurovision will be back to our screens soon, and as we gear up for the campiest, glitziest, most iconic music event of 2025, let’s take a look at the three celeb hosts who will be leading the festivities. Taking place in Basel this year following a historic win from non-binary star Nemo, it was announced in January that Hazel Brugger, Michelle Hunziker, and Sandra Studer – who are all well-known and popular celebrities in Switzerland – will all be presenting this year’s event.

According to the official Eurovision website, the 69th Eurovision Song Contest is being hosted by “three talented women who embody Switzerland’s adopted motto for Basel 2025 – ‘Welcome Home'”. Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR also said that the trio “symbolises the values that define Switzerland: openness, diversity, multilingualism and a sense of togetherness.”

Hazel Brugger is an award-winning stand-up comedian and presenter who was born in the USA but now lives in the Darmstadt region of Germany. She was previously dubbed “the queen of wit” and is considered to be the “voice of the younger generation”. Michelle Hunziker is one of Switzerland’s best-known entertainers, having appeared on numerous TV shows on German and Italian television while Sandra Studer began her career on Eurovision as a contestant. Studer participated in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of Switzerland under the stage name Sandra Simó and placed fifth with the song “Canzone Per Te” so she will be able to bring a personal depth of knowledge to this year’s proceedings.

The co-executive producers of the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, Moritz Stadler and Reto Peritz, said of their choice of hosts: “For the world’s biggest show, it was important for us to recruit hosts who bring more than just presenting skills – Hazel, Sandra, and Michelle bring unique versatility with additional talents such as comedy, dance and singing.” Eurovision 2025 will take place in Basel, Switzerland, from May 13 to May 17. The two semi-finals will be held on May 13 and May 15, and the grand final will be held on May 17.
