Users of iPhone and Android devices are set to benefit from more secure messaging, thanks to the integration of end-to-end encryption (E2EE) with the Rich Communication Services (RCS) protocol. On March 14, 2025, the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSMA) announced the new standard, marking a significant step forward for privacy and security across platforms.
