The DLF Golf Academy celebrated its 25th anniversary with significant achievements by its students, marking a landmark occasion for the institution dedicated to fostering golfing success.
This year, the academy’s students excelled on both the women’s and men’s domestic professional tours. Meanwhile, Veer Ahlawat topped the Tata Steel Professional Golf Tour of India, including triumphing at the lucrative season-ending Tour Championship held recently.
Alongside these professional accomplishments, the academy also celebrated the rise of junior talent with Kartik Singh winning the national junior boys’ title. Singh has been making headlines not only at home but also internationally, ranking as India’s top amateur golfer. Notably, he achieved remarkable standings at prestigious tournaments, including placing within the top ten at the Asia Pacific Amateur Championship and securing third at the Junior Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass.
Singh also represented the International team at the Junior Presidents Cup, contributing 1.5 points to his team's effort. His achievements underline the academy's role as a breeding ground for future golf stars.
Meanwhile, the academy recognized the accomplishments of Special Olympian Ranveer Singh Saini, who received the Shresth Divyangjan Award from the President and secured a silver medal at the Golf Masters tournament held in Macau, highlighting the inclusive spirit of the academy.
During the anniversary celebration, DLF Golf and Country Club vice-president Tusch Daroga emphasized the commitment of the academy, stating, "At DLF, we have always been passionate about nurturing a vibrant sporting culture. Our vision has consistently been to provide world-class facilities and opportunities for athletes to excel. This commitment is reflected in our significant investments in cutting-edge technology and comprehensive training programs at our state-of-the-art DLF Golf Academy."
Chand, the academy's director of instruction, reiterated the philosophy of the institution: "The success of the DLF Golf Academy is not just measured by the skill of the players we produce, but by the culture of discipline, passion, and perseverance we cultivate. Every swing, every lesson, every challenge faced on the course is a step toward excellence—not just in golf, but in life."
Since its inception in 1999, the DLF Golf Academy has trained over 10,000 students, many of whom have claimed more than 1,000 national and international titles. It has carved out its reputation as one of the premier golf instructional facilities. All nine professional instructors are certified by the National Golf Academy of India, boasting an average of 20 years of experience, and the academy also provides fitness training to help students maintain their physical condition for the sport.
This milestone celebration not only reflected on the academy's past but also looked toward the future, setting the vision for continued development of young golfers. The DLF Golf Academy strives to cultivate aspiring golfers, empowering them to reach their full potential on and off the course.
