The Bureau of Meteorology has cautioned residents about possible isolated heavy rainfall over the coming days, with expectations of up to 500mm. Townsville Local Disaster Management Group chairman Andrew Robinson urged caution, stating, “If you have not yet evacuated and feel it is safe to do so, please leave now.”
