Dawid Podsiadło has officially announced the highly anticipated ZORZA festival, set to bring fresh musical experiences to fans across six Polish cities starting from June to August 2025. This new project marks a bold step for the acclaimed singer-songwriter, known for hits like "Szarość i Róż," as he aims to redefine live music events within Poland.
Initially teasing the festival late last year, Podsiadło revealed a detailed lineup of locations and dates on February 11, culminating months of speculation among excited fans. The festival will visit Poznań on June 6-7, Wrocław on June 27-28, and Warsaw on July 11-12 before reaching its final destinations of Kraków, Gdańsk, and Katowice.
What sets ZORZA apart is its unique two-day format, which promises not just musical performances but also artistic collaborations and new artistic expressions from various genres. Each city will witness Podsiadło taking the stage both days, but he will be joined by an array of talented artists including Kaśka Sochacka, Artur Rojek, Kacperczyk, Kukon, Sokół, Fisz, Emade, Kortez, and Paulina Przybysz.
"ZORZA is more than just a festival – it is a new cultural format," stated Podsiadło. "We want to create something more than just music, offering our community unique experiences and opportunities for artistic expression and discovery." He emphasizes the importance of collaboration, hinting at new musical projects, with unreleased songs brought to life on stage and specially crafted for this event.
One of the exciting features of the festival is Podsiadło's collaboration with Kaśka Sochacka on their upcoming mini-album, set to debut just before the festival starts. Fans can also expect to see Podsiadło perform tributes to the influential Polish band Myslovitz, alongside its former lead singer Artur Rojek.
The festival will take place at venues surrounded by greenery, excellent for experiencing music and art. For example, the Kraków installation is planned for the grounds near TAURON Arena, providing ample space for interaction and enjoyment. “We want to create not just performances but experiences where people can connect with art and each other,” adds Podsiadło.
Tickets for the festival will be available through eBilet, with presales launching on February 12, 2025, at different times based on fan access privileges. A single-day ticket will be priced at 249 zł, whereas two-day passes will cost 449 zł, plus service fees.
Though the festival promises to be groundbreaking, it hasn't been without its critics. Some fans expressed disappointment with the current lineup of artists, voicing concerns over perceived lack of variety. Social media comments revealed mixed reactions, with many hoping for additional artist announcements and surprises as the event approaches, demonstrating the high expectations Podsiadło's established fan base has for ZORZA.
Despite any skepticism, the excitement surrounding the ZORZA festival remains palpable. With Podsiadło at the helm, leading the charge for innovative performances and artistic boldness, the festival promises not just music but also cultural enrichment, inspiring new conversations among attendees.
This biennial festival is set to establish itself as more than just another summer event; its ambition to serve as a platform for unique artistic projects and community interaction aligns closely with Podsiadło’s broader artistic vision. The ZORZA festival may well become a significant cultural milestone, engaging with diverse art forms and fostering creativity across Poland.
