Charity Events Nagold Raises €7,000 For Sick Children

Community group makes significant contributions to local charities, enhancing care for children and animal welfare.

Charity Events Nagold has once again demonstrated the power of community engagement and generosity, raising €7,000 for children suffering from illness and ensuring continued support for animal welfare initiatives. Just before the close of the year, the dedicated team from Charity Events Nagold visited Tübingen to hand over the funds to the Association for Sick Children and the Children's Hospital, marking another milestone for their charitable efforts.

The first stop on their heartwarming mission was at the Association for Sick Children Tübingen, where they were welcomed by Chairman Horst Simscheck. Kevin Steinberg presented a cheque for €2,085, which he raised during his charity birthday celebration, demonstrating how personal milestones can translate to impactful contributions. Meanwhile, Aylin Weirovski proudly handed over another cheque amounting to nearly €3,000, collected from the charity tombola at the wedding fair, which she played a key role in organizing.

Horst Simscheck expressed heartfelt gratitude for the donations, emphasizing the significance of the association's work. He elaborated on how their initiatives support families facing the challenges of childhood cancer, highlighting the invaluable role of the parent house in Tübingen. “This support is of immeasurable value for the families, and we look forward to these visits and the long-standing help from Charity Events Nagold every year,” he said.

Next, the team headed to the Children's Hospital Tübingen, where they delivered yet another significant donation of €2,050 to Maximilian Nägele, the hospital's managing director. Nägele articulated the importance of the funds, stating, “Many important treatments, which are decisive for the recovery of the children, unfortunately are not covered by health insurance. With your support, we can fill these gaps and provide the best possible care for the children.”

Looking to the future, Max Dettling from the River Spring Festival organizing team revealed plans for exciting new projects on the horizon. “We are confident we can surpass our fundraising totals next year,” he shared, showcasing their commitment to continuous improvement and support for those in need. Patrick Walz, the chairman of Charity Events Nagold, concluded the visit by thanking the many supporters. “Without the helping hands, generous sponsors, and our dedicated guests, none of this would be possible. Together, we have shown how strong our charity community is.”

Over the course of the year, Charity Events Nagold has impressively amassed more than €23,500 through various actions and projects. “We not only generate donations ourselves but also inspire others to follow suit. Achieving such a high sum during such challenging economic times is unprecedented in our ten-year history,” Dettling emphasized, reflecting the group's unwavering commitment to charity.

Demonstrations of local solidarity were not confined solely to child welfare. Recently, the Rotary Club Nagold-Herrenberg showcased their support for animal welfare, presenting €3,000 to the Kreistierheim, the local animal shelter. President Reinhold Kratzer expressed admiration for the shelter’s professionalism after touring their facility, stating, “The professionalism with which they operate has impressed us Rotarians and has prompted our willingness to donate.”

The funds presented to Wolf Eisenmann, the deputy head of the Kreistierheim, and Bianca Heidenreich, the shelter's deputy director, stood as testimony to community efforts benefitting both vulnerable children and animals. Their work continues to inspire confidence and generosity among local citizens, fostering a spirit of giving expected to continue well beyond this year

Community fundraising efforts like those spearheaded by Charity Events Nagold and the Rotary Club Nagold-Herrenberg are more than just financial transactions; they are expressions of support and solidarity for the most vulnerable members of society. By coming together, residents not only provide immediate assistance but also nourish the bonds of community and compassion. With such unwavering enthusiasm for charity, there is no doubt the region will see continued success for years to come.

Through these efforts, Charity Events Nagold is proving to the world how powerful collective goodwill can be. By addressing important social issues, whether they concern sick children or abandoned animals, they remind us all of our shared responsibility to uplift and support one another.
