CBSE Class 10 And 12 Results Expected Soon

Students await crucial results with multiple access options available

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is gearing up for the much-anticipated announcement of the Class 10 and Class 12 results for the 2025 academic year, expected to take place this week. Although no official date has been confirmed, reports suggest that results may be released as early as May 8, 2025, prompting excitement among the over 44 lakh students who have been anxiously awaiting their scores.

In a recent notice, the CBSE has dismissed various false announcements circulating on social media regarding the results' release date, emphasizing that the official announcement will come through their verified channels. Students can check their results on several platforms, including the official websites cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, results will be accessible via the UMANG app, DigiLocker, and the Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS).

The board examinations for Class 10 and Class 12 were conducted from February 15 to March 18, 2025. A total of 24.12 lakh students appeared for the Class 10 exams across 84 subjects, while 17.88 lakh students took part in the Class 12 exams across 120 subjects. The results are crucial for students as they play a significant role in shaping their future academic and career paths.

For those looking to check their results through the UMANG app, the process is straightforward. Students need to download the app, create an account, and log in using their registered details. Once logged in, they can select the option to check their results by entering their roll number. The results will then be displayed on the screen.

Similarly, results can be accessed through DigiLocker, where students must log in with their credentials or create a new account if they haven't done so already. After navigating to the CBSE Results section, students will need to enter their roll number, school number, and other required details to view their results.

Furthermore, for those who prefer to use the IVRS method, students can check their results by dialing the number 24300699, adding their area code before the number. It is important to note that the scorecards obtained through this method will be provisional; students must collect their original scorecards from their respective schools.

As a part of the digital initiative, CBSE has been creating DigiLocker accounts for students, ensuring they can access their academic documents securely. A six-digit access code is required for account activation, which schools will distribute to students individually. This initiative is a collaboration between CBSE and the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) and is part of the Parinam Manjusha project, aimed at providing a digital academic repository.

Last year, the CBSE results were announced on May 13, while in 2023, the results were released on May 12. The 2022 and 2021 results were announced on July 22 and August 3, respectively. The pass criteria for the two classes differ, with Class 10 students required to secure a minimum of 33% marks by combining their theory and internal assessment scores. In contrast, Class 12 students must achieve at least 33% marks separately in both theory and practical examinations.

As students await their results, many are reflecting on past performance trends. In 2024, the Class 12 pass percentage was reported at 87.98%, while Class 10 students achieved a pass rate of 93.60%. These statistics highlight a slight decline in pass rates from previous years, where the Class 12 results in 2021 saw a peak pass percentage of 99.37%, attributed to the special marking system implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students are advised to stay updated through the official CBSE channels for the latest information regarding their results. The board has also encouraged students to avoid unofficial websites that may provide misleading information. The expected timeline for result access is after 10:00 AM on the day of the announcement, with results available through online platforms, SMS, and DigiLocker.

In preparation for the results, students are reminded to have their roll numbers, school numbers, and admit card IDs ready for a smooth login experience. Additionally, for those who may wish to contest their scores, the process for re-evaluation will begin once the results are announced. Students will need to apply for a photocopy of their answer sheets before they can request verification or re-evaluation of their marks.

As the CBSE Board prepares to unveil the results, students and parents alike are filled with anticipation. The results are not just numbers; they represent the culmination of hard work and dedication over the past academic year. With multiple avenues to access their scores, students can choose the method that best suits their needs.

In conclusion, the upcoming CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 results are a pivotal moment for millions of students across India. With the promise of digital access and secure methods for result retrieval, the CBSE aims to make the process as smooth as possible. As the clock ticks down to the potential announcement on May 8, students are encouraged to remain hopeful and prepared for the next steps in their educational journeys.
