Beyond Paradise Season Three Episode Four Brings New Cast

A significant sailing competition leads to chaos as a smoothie tampering incident puts Martha under suspicion.

As Beyond Paradise season three unfolds, fans are keen to discover who will be guest starring in the fourth episode. The spin-off of BBC's Death In Paradise is well into its third season with DI Humphrey Goodman (portrayed by Kris Marshall) once again at the heart of a perplexing investigation. In this instance, his fiancée Martha Lloyd (played by Sally Bretton) finds herself under scrutiny when it emerges that a sailor's smoothie has been tampered with prior to a significant race.

On the final day of the regatta, finalist Polly, played by Madeleine Daly, is competing for first place when "disaster strikes" as she collapses and falls into the sea, causing the entire race to descend into chaos. Actress Madeleine Daly steps into the shoes of Polly, and while details about her are scant, her role in Beyond Paradise is set to make waves.

Actor Jason Hughes will play the part of Polly's "overbearing father" Hugo, who is eager for his daughter to win the trophy. Hughes is known for his role as Warren Jones in the 1990s drama This Life, but is perhaps more recognisable as DS Ben Jones in ITV's Midsomer Murders. In recent years, Hughes has appeared in Three Girls, Marcella, The Pact, and McDonald And Dodds.

As one of the suspects in the drama, fellow dad Nathan, portrayed by Silas Carson, is driven by the desire to see his daughter crowned champion but at what expense? Carson is known for his roles in a multitude of television hits such as Doctor Who, The Gold, Unforgotten, Holby City, and more recently, as Jonathan Boardman in the BBC's Virdee.

In the competitive dynamic of the show, Francine, portrayed by Laura Euler Rolle, stands as Polly's chief adversary, which puts her in the hot seat for questioning especially after Polly encounters a shocking incident during the championship's finale. Actress Laura Euler Rolle takes on the role of Francine, and although she's relatively fresh to the acting world, her resume already includes appearances in productions like The Diplomat and Woman Of The Dead.

Archie Hughes, played by Jamie Bamber, has been making increasingly regular appearances. Bamber, known for his impressive repertoire including roles like Col Alexander Coltrane in Strike Back, DCI Tim Williamson in Marcella, DS Matt Devlin in Law And Order: UK, and Lee "Apollo" Adama in Battlestar Galactica, adds depth to the storyline as he navigates his complex relationship with Martha.

Another familiar face popping up is Nurse Lucy, played by Eva Feiler, girlfriend to Josh Woods (Chris Jenks), whose presence becomes significant when Polly faces adversity in the midst of the sea challenge. Feiler has featured in a string of shows such as Urban Legends, Father Brown, The Crown, and We Were The Lucky Ones.

Beyond Paradise season three airs weekly each Friday at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The series continues to captivate audiences with its blend of mystery and character-driven storytelling, keeping viewers on the edge of their seats.

As the episode unfolds, viewers can expect a gripping narrative as Martha becomes the prime suspect in the investigation surrounding the tampered smoothie. The synopsis for the episode reveals that on the final day of the regatta, rival sailors Francine and Polly are neck and neck for the top spot. However, disaster strikes when Polly collapses and plunges into the sea, throwing the entire race into chaos. When it's discovered that Polly's smoothie had been tampered with, all eyes turn to Martha, the smoothie-maker, who finds herself in the spotlight as an unlikely prime suspect.

The regular cast of the previous two seasons returns for this new batch of Beyond Paradise episodes, including Kris Marshall (DI Humphrey Goodman), Sally Bretton (Martha Lloyd), Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams), Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford), Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd), and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins). The returning cast also includes Jamie Bamber (Archie Hughes), Jade Harrison (CS Charlie Woods), and Melina Sinadinou (Zoe Williams).

In addition to the returning favorites, the show welcomes several guest stars for this season, including Hugh Dennis as local councillor Arthur Donelan, Steve Oram, and Gabby Best as Humphrey and Esther’s Cornish policing counterparts. Chizzy Akudolu returns as Reverend Kate, while Kevin McNally and Caroline Quentin portray farming rivals George Ellis and Lotty Lewes, respectively.

As the plot thickens, the underlying themes of competition, family pressure, and the quest for justice drive the story forward. With each character bringing their unique motivations and backgrounds to the table, the audience is treated to a rich tapestry of drama and intrigue.

As fans eagerly await to see how the investigation unfolds, the combination of the picturesque setting of Shipton Abbott and the complex character dynamics promises to deliver yet another thrilling episode. With the series airing on Friday evenings since its return in March, it has quickly established itself as a must-watch for mystery enthusiasts and fans of character-driven narratives.

In conclusion, Beyond Paradise continues to engage its audience with fresh faces and intriguing storylines, ensuring that viewers remain invested in the lives of DI Humphrey Goodman and his team as they navigate the challenges of both their professional and personal lives.
