Antonio Banderas Gets Distracted and Ends up Acknowledging What's Going on With His Daughter, Stella Del Carmen
During his latest television interview, Antonio Banderas talked about Stella del Carmen's anticipated wedding. Antonio Banderas has a slip-up during his latest visit to El Hormiguero and ends up sharing details about his daughter Stella del Carmen's future husband. "I really like who she's going to marry," the famous Spanish actor stated.
On August 20, the daughter of the actor and Melanie Griffith took to social media to announce her engagement to the man she calls the love of her life. Alongside a picture of her engagement ring and several old snapshots with Alex Gruszynski, Stella del Carmen officially confirmed her engagement. "I'll be able to spend all my time with my favorite person on Earth forever!" she expressed.
Although the couple still has several decisions to make, including the wedding date, their love story is captivating. This past Wednesday, on February 19, Antonio Banderas returned to the set of El Hormiguero to promote the debut of his fourth musical, Gypsy. Yet, what caught everyone's attention during his visit was the surprising slip-up discussing Stella del Carmen's fiancé.
At one point during the interview, host Pablo Motos asked Antonio about his daughter's upcoming wedding. Without missing a beat, the actor remarked, "On this occasion, vertigo doesn't win!" and shared his sentiments. "The excitement wins because, besides, I really like who she's going to marry. It’s very funny because he’s a kid who used to come over to play, and they’ve studied together since kindergarten," he added, shedding light on the long-standing relationship he shares with Alex Gruszynski.
Antonio fondly reminisced about Alex's childhood: "I've seen him at my house at three and four years old, jumping in the pool. I know him; now he's a guy who can't fit through the door, very handsome, very smart, who loves her very much." These anecdotes showcase how deeply rooted their relationship is.
Reflecting on his hopes for Stella, he said, "What I want for my daughter is for him to love her." His affirmations of trust and belief in their love resonate throughout the interview.
Antonio Banderas also spoke candidly about his desire for his daughter to be loved and happy. "My daughter Stella is getting married," he declared on the show, echoing his pride and joy for her upcoming nuptials. Banderas emphasized, "I really like who she’s marrying. He used to come to my house to play when he was three or four years old, since the two went to the same preschool."
"All I want is for my daughter to be loved, and he loves her a lot, and that's all I care about. I don't care about anything else. The wedding can be as simple as possible. We'll see if they make me a grandfather soon—let's see!" This reveals his lighthearted approach to the engagement and impending marriage.
During the interview, Banderas also shared some serious thoughts, particularly about wildfires affecting his loved ones. "I've had a bad time. It’s been very tough," he expressed, indicating the challenges faced by his family in Los Angeles, where they were forced to evacuate due to the raging fires. Banderas highlighted the differences between homes built in Los Angeles and those constructed in places like Madrid, noting how materials used impact safety during natural disasters.
The happiness surrounding Stella's engagement to Alex Gruszynski adds warmth to the troubling backdrop of wildfires. Banderas's blend of concern and joy captures the realities faced by many families during such trying times, all highlighted by the enduring love and pride he has for his daughter.
