For players who have reached chapter five of Zenless Zone Zero, Port Elpis is a key location where they can collect valuable in-game resources. This port area contains 10 ZZZ HIA coins that players can gather and trade with Sage in a Barrel for additional resources. Moreover, players can earn two seeker medals from Officer Mewmew for collecting all the coins in this location.
To ensure that all the ZZZ HIA coins spawn in Port Elpis, players should follow three important steps:
- First, speak to and kick Sage in a Barrel, located by the stairs leading down to the marina in Elpis. It’s essential to engage with Sage first, as none of the coins will appear if this step is skipped.
- Next, players should activate Officer Mewmew in Port Elpis. This involves changing the time in Elpis to late night and speaking to Mewmew to start a side quest. Completing this quest activates Officer Mewmew, who will appear in the marina thereafter.
- Finally, players must complete a questline for some of the ZZZ HIA coins to spawn. This requires speaking to the NPC Nian, who is situated by the statue near Officer Mewmew, and completing the associated side quest.
After collecting each HIA coin, players need to refresh the Elpis location to spawn the next coin. This can be done by teleporting to another area, such as Ballet Twins Road, and returning to Elpis.
Here’s how to collect all 10 ZZZ HIA coins in Port Elpis:
- Mitsuharu (Morning): Speak to Mitsuharu, who is fishing at the back end of the marina in the morning to receive your first coin.
- Grandpa Gu (Morning): Find Grandpa Gu fishing near the stairs at the marina in the morning. After speaking to him, interact with Feng, who is fishing near Officer Mewmew, to collect another coin.
- McDunn (Morning): In the morning, speak to McDunn in front of the lighthouse. Then, interact with the Sea God Statue at the marina by Mewmew and talk to McDunn again to receive your next coin.
- Teppei (Afternoon): During the afternoon, speak to Teppei, who is near the fries food truck in Elpis. Afterward, talk to Phee at the food truck to collect the coin.
- Dennis (Afternoon): Speak to Dennis, who overlooks the marina area with binoculars, during the afternoon to receive another coin.
- Lanza (Afternoon): In the afternoon, find Lanza sitting beside Tater King (the fries truck) in Port Elpis. He will share a story about his parents’ anniversary coin and give you one.
- Muqing (Evening): Change the time to evening and speak to Muqing near the statue in the marina. Afterward, change the game time to the next evening and talk to Muqing again to collect a coin.
- Nachi (Evening): In the evening, speak to Nachi by the warehouse and a small cat. Interact with the cat beside a chair behind Nachi’s original position to have her reappear and give you a coin.
- Mysterious Guy (Late Night): Speak to the Mysterious Guy near the lighthouse late at night. He won’t provide the coin immediately, so players need to forward the time to the next late night and speak to him again.
- Lifebuoy (Late Night): To collect this coin, walk down the stairs leading to the marina at night and interact with the Lifebuoy to save Gully, who will reward you with an HIA coin.
Once players have gathered all 10 ZZZ HIA coins, they can return to Officer Mewmew to claim their talent seeker medals, which are awarded for collecting five and ten HIA Commemorative Coins. Players can also exchange their coins with Sage in a Barrel for more Dennies and resources.
With the upcoming Xbox Spotlight livestream and the exciting opportunities within Port Elpis, Zenless Zone Zero continues to engage its player base, promising thrilling updates and adventures in the world of gaming.
